Yes I know. Played the game in high school. I wasn't talking about your typical university level rugby player. More your local type. The one who drinks gallons of beer after a match and wonders why no one joins him on a Wednesday night.

But I understand your point about hockey players. I know about 5 guys who do that after a rec league game.

Bought a place out at Cultus Lake last year and I'm working more and more in the valley. Really starting to like the area. Still haven't got used to the smell on some days but the setting is great. Coming out of Langley and driving down into the valley and seeing Baker on a clear day is awesome.

And I'm guessing none of them are Mensa members.

The Abbotsford Costco is an anomaly. On average, about 15cents less a liter than Vancouver.

That's because they don't charge the transit levy.

I wondered which Oiler fan would come in and think these sarcasm posts were real, congrats. Two days ago I was posting does Kass have a spot on this roster.

Sure, but I got a feeling the Power Forward is your favourite type of player.

Yak is definitely not a power forward.

I am not sure if Yak would make a difference on the Canucks, I would target other players first.

I do like the Virtanen pick and would love a Simmonds or Neiderrieter.

Watching the Wings here vs TO, Yaks would fit like a glove in Detroit me thinks.

Strangely enough I escaped a few years of rugby with zero injuries.

Soccer? 2 x broken nose, broken foot, broken leg, torn ligaments, broken arm......

Yikes, who woulda thunk there could be such intensity in a game referred to as 'footie' lol

But hey, you haven't tried anything until you've played lacrosse

I was a little surprised as I have always regarded you as one of the more intelligent Canucks posters. Not that it's a great compliment when you're surrounded by Bloated, Whiskey, Nucker and VanCity, but nonetheless, I did find it a bit extreme.

What do you call yak? He's an undersized, slow as (frank), wildly innacurate shooter that has to work his ass off just to be slightly better than poopty defensively.

Definitely agree that he'd fit in well with Detroit. Yak - at least at this point in his career - does not have the maturity or ability to be a team leader or handle too many responsibilities other than working and focusing on his game, and that is, simply a good offensive player whose assets need to be used accordingly in order to maximize his potential instead of trying to completely change his game around (anyone remember B Hull?)

I would imagine it doesn't quite have the same dynamic as ''footsies'

What were you, midfield or a defender? seems that's where the heavy'board' work seems to be?

I used to play goalie, but now usually play midfield/forward. At 6'1 220 I'm usually bigger and stronger than the guys I play against

I might have done that a few times myself. I'm more like Bloated though, if it's slow in our thread, I walk around the others for a bit to see what's up.
Best threads to start "conversations":
Ek's
James Tanners
Any with a Leafs Logo.
Any non Oilers blog with an Oilers logo( Ek, Hot stove, etc).

From what I've heard, the higher octane actually results in better gas mileage so it is a wash.
- docmorgan

It is required for the vw 2 litre turbo -tsi or fsi... If I could put the cheaper stuff in there I would, but don't want to risk any issues- have heard some people alternate every tank.

My bro used to have an 8cy explorer and if he put in premium then he got great mileage- he was on the island working for Columbia fuels and got a staff rate, so he'd put it in all the time and could go say 25% further on a tank.

I went from an Elantra GT to a vw Jetta GLI and love the way it drives but damn it is a lot more expensive to run. Guessing no matter what German car you have, maintenance is more expensive.
