Beat up Devils team. Flyers need to take advantage of that.

Local Sports Radio show is talking about a Sabres Flyers rumor involving Sean Courterier to Buff for D-man Myers, who has improved his play substantially over past year to be Buffalo's best...while Sabres have begun to play good D by keeping teams out of the paint (Sabres just can't score, that's their problem).
Any thoughts from Flyer fans...what is going on with Courterier (sp?) ... He was the guy I wanted the Sabres to get in that draft clas.

The ones that stand out to me the most. The whole team sucks quite frankly. Even the Giroux line doesnt sustain constant pressure. Pretty disappointing.

C$ fell another 1.162% yesterday. Now down over 2% since Daly said there could be a small increase in cap if the $C holds. Not going to happen.

Sabres/Flyers are perfect dance partners. Sabres have a few years ahead of big cap space. Flyers need space.

My guess is the Sabres will take Lacavallier and any other player the Flyers want them to take in exchange for Tyler Myers and any other player over the age of 25 just as long as the Flyers 1st round pick (2015) is coming back.

But, I don't think Hextall ever gives up a first round pick.

There are lots of teams that would take Vinny and send some really nice stuff back if that #1 pick comes into play.

It's time they need a big home stand....this thing can really snow ball unless they start to put some full 60 minute effort together.

Couturier has been less than stellar this season. Still, you're talking about a guy who was ranked 9th in Selke voting as a 20-year-old last year on a very cap-friendly deal. Myers would be the Flyers' best defenseman, but he's not in that "elite" class that I'd trade Couturier for.

I'd trade VLC for Michalak in a heartbeat.

I doubt it's something he even entertains seriously. He might be willing to trade a guy like Coburn for less of a return, if the other team takes Vinny, but he's not adding a first rounder, especially not a 2015

considering their current spot I don't think Hextall does it either...It's not like they are one or two pieces away from being a true stanley cup contender. hextall has repeatedly said he needs to build through the draft.

You're right, Couturier is a bust. I mean, he's not like Patrice Bergeron, the defensive standout who scored a whopping 8 goals and 39 points in 64 games in his fourth season, the point where Couturier is now in his career. And really, that Boston team sucked that year, only being the 2nd best team in the NHL, compared to the offensive and defensive juggernaut that is the 14/15 Flyers. We should trade him for the first offer that comes along.
