It's just so weird. I mean, Mark Porter from Floorpunch drove to a show just to punch Duncan Barlow from "By the Grace of God." There was an incident in Philly where Ezec from Madball (I think it was him) punched some dude so hard he literally went flying backwards down a flight of steps. poop like that just used to happen, someone would get banged up bad, and it was done, and no charges ever got pressed. I understand times needed to change, but it's just weird that it's so super safe now. - jmatchett383
Well its because of fans of bands like Terror that many bands have trouble finding places to play out here because the insurance for that is crazy. So, the community started policing itself. |

Excuse after excuse to keep up your complaining. He's paid to score. Only makes sense to put a shooter with a playmaker. - SuperSchennBros
No excuses at all. The guy has performed terribly, and now you want to hand him a job on the top line. |

Pretty much. We're not winning, so what else can we do? Stay stubborn and do nothing? |

Yea, I was at Internal Affairs last show in LA and Terror played. Scott pointed at a few of us to get up on stage and jump off or he'd kick our asses.
The way I see it is that Terror needs to make money now because playing One with the Underdogs and Lowest of the Low weren't going to keep them going forever. Best time to catch them is at a small show now and not a festival (frank) those barriers they put up at festivals. - 2Real
I saw ECWs last show at the ECW Arena under 1-95. I saw a guy get thrown off of a tractor trailer onto the roof of a car. Too bad that went bust. |

Nope. Bring up hungry, young players like Taylor Leier. No need to hand a faded star an opportunity, especially when he seems to feel he doesn't have to earn ice time. |

Great! Just have a 4 million plus dollar contract against our cap sit around and do nothing. Super!

The Vincent Lecavalier saga in Philadelphia will continue tonight as the veteran forward is due to miss his 5th straight game as a healthy scratch. Lecavalier has been trying to show Craig Berube in practice that he can still contribute, but after complaining about ice time he may never get back in his good graces.
“You know it is frustrating, and I have been practicing hard and trying to get ready for the next time I am called,” Lecavalier told Marc Narducci of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
For his part, Berube understands the struggle.
“I am sure it is not easy,” Berube said. “He has worked extremely hard since he has been out and has a good attitude.”
So what exactly are you talking about with the moping and the fact he feels he doesn't have to earn ice time? Can we afford to bring up Taylor Leier? Is Taylor Leier ready to play in the NHL anymore then Jason Akeson? Would we be rushing him? |

Lecavalier has had a fighting chance to live up to his deal. He gave up and moped. Why hand him a job next to Giroux? He's done nothing to earn it. - Jsaquella
haha i seem to remember a similar argument levied against akeson. |

again, to me it all gets back as to why they are scratching him. if its because they are just washing their hands the best they can, then hes just gonna rot.
but if berube was scratching him to prove a lesson, and all of those quotes ring more true than hollow, i feel bad for the guy, and the coach should make an effort to get him back in there somewhere. no, i dont think there really is a fit. but if youre scratching him for lack of effort and personal reasons, and the player is busting his ass in practice, that should earn him something.

I can't disagree on both thoughts. We don't know. All I know is we're losing and it's a lot of the same old, same old. |

yeah. i understand. its frustrating. i realize its easier for me to say since its not my money, but i dont care what a guy is paid. if the on ice product is better without you, id let them sit.
i wish there was a taker for scuderi and his deal. but why would anyone want it. so in the alternative, i would rather he was constantly in the pressbox for a kid like either dumoulin or harrington. every night. |

Sheldon Souray, Scott Gomez, Wade Redden, Dany Heatley and Daniel Briere probably all thought the same.
I'd rather not tie an anchor to either G's and/or Jake's ankles right now. I'll pay $4.5M for him to do nothing, rather than pay $4.5M for him to hurt the team at ES. |

Just put the guy in a position to succeed and see where it takes him. If it goes nowhere, there really is nothing else the Coach can do. Playing with Umberger, Bellemare, Rinaldo, Vandevelde and a brand new rookie still trying to find his way in the NHL himself isn't putting Lecavalier is a position to succeed. |

You read my mind.
Here is my mindset and most of you, if not all of you are gonna hate it.
Schenn/Raffl-Giroux-Lecavalier
Raffl/Schenn-Laughton-Voracek
Read-Couturier-Simmonds
Rinaldo-Bellemare-Umberger
Giroux and Voracek have undeniable chemistry but they're both play-makers with great vision on the ice. They should be able to set up not only each other but their teammates. Play-making could be exactly what's missing among the secondary scoring. Now I know most are sour on Vinny but in my scenario at least he gets a fighting chance to live up to his deal. If he can't do that, then there is absolutely nothing we can do for this guy. I know many will look at that top line and say he hasn't earned it. It hasn't worked out in the past. Realistically though that was 13 months ago. Lecavalier was able to get a hat trick with that opportunity and Raffl just beginning his career at the time was very mediocre during the start of his career. Heck, Max Talbot was still here. In this case, you give him the ball and see if he can run with it. If he can't, Berube can't say he didn't try it here and now. In the case Giroux also adopts 2 wingers who have no excuse but to drive/crash the net at every opportunity. I like your idea as well. You can't knock the guy without at least seeing if he can come back and play with a chip on his shoulder. - SuperSchennBros
No doubt that would be the best way to use Lecavalier. I just don't know that the Flyers should be arranging their team to try and fit Lecavalier in. I don't know how he has looked in practice, but I have a hard time agreeing with putting him back in the lineup.

Wow, why try anything. Let's go from 9-13-5 to 18-26-10 by doing nothing. Let's continue to believe this poop will fix itself. |
