Seriously though. What would it take to pry a Weber or Pietrangelo type D-man away. In your opinion. - GOA88
What would it take for you to trade Giroux away? |

I would do that trade straight up... No questions asked. Signed sealed delivered - Just5
I don't think Tim Murray does a deal for Couturier. He did not like him at the draft. And, if anything, his rep has slipped over the last couple of years. |

If a team is stupid enough to trade a perennial Norris candidate locked up long-term for a good (albeit slumping) winger, one of the worst contracts in the league, and our 1st...I will eat a shoe. I will literally cook and eat a shoe. - jmatchett383

Not for (frank)in sale, especially for what you think is an acceptable offer. |

Cooter's rep has slipped? He finished 8th or something like that last year in Selke voting... |

I think it's still a little early to fully gauge Coots full offensive potential. If the players around him were flourishing than there would be more room for concern.
On the bright side, it's nice to see Brayden Schenn score some clutch goals late in games this year. |

Except we don't have the cap room. Couts is $1.75 M. Myers is $5.5M. They need to take Umberger or VLC...and then they are going to want something else to do that. |

Because Vinny isn't being scratched because he made mistakes, he's being scratched because he's not a fit on the ice.
Not sure why Lecavalier being scratched is news. The Flyers spent all summer trying to move him. They very clearly do not see him in their plans - Jsaquella
What the hell is there for Berube to say?
"Well Vinny, its like this. You suck. You just suck. You're as useful to this team as tits on a bull. Enjoy the popcorn and feel free to waive your NTC, oh, BTW, retirement would be a fine choice as well." |

That's what i see -- not quite understanding why it's a big deal to keep scratching a player who wasn'tt helping the team win.
Berube isn't scratching the 52-goal scoring Lecavalier. He's scratching a 34-year-old one-way center who truly struggles to keep up with the pace of play at ES.
In other words, In this case, Berube is doing his job, since the Flyers roster simply should not carry a player with that profile, since they are trying to be a two-way team that checks first - AllInForFlyers
We're already losing. I'm not sure how much slower anyone can say this. We haven't gotten any better even by scratching him. The way we lost on Tuesday with our best defensive forwards on the ice, plus our lack luster PK is sad. How much worse can it get? How much of this can you pin on one player? Complete and total tunnel vision for one player's faults, while having this ridiculous fear to scrtach others right after a march to the press box two short weeks ago. |

The only thing that will get Hextall's attention is something that involves a huge relief on the cap. Murray might do LeCavalier, Umberger and the #1 (2015) for Myers. But, I don't think Hextall does the deal. |

If you don't think the Flyers aren't worse when Lecavalier tries to play hockey for them, then we clearly don't watch the game the same
Because yeah, even a replacement-level player who can skate and backcheck is a better fit for the Flyers roster |

They looked good last night, too. Reimer made three or four saves he had no business making

Vinny was getting fourth line limited minutes the last number of games when he did play and the team couldn't cash. You can't blame a guy for everything while he's barely playing. We're not even treading in the right direction. |

Hextall won't part with that 1st rounder unless he gets a crazy deal. That pick could be anywhere between 1-15, most likely in the top 10 at this point. |
