I had nightmares about Nathan Lafayette hitting the post twice in game 7

Ya it was a heartbreaker, Linden just poured his heart and soul into that run, Bure was awesome, it was just fun to be part of as a fan.

McLean on Reichal. Linden, Courtnall and Bure all in OT to bury the lames. Bure on Churla.

I find smoking large quantities of dope helps ease the pain.

I was too poopfaced to even have much awareness of game 7, 2011. I think my hand is psychic, because it kept pouring drinks down my throat. Must have seen the blowout coming.

I was at that (frank)ing game. The game was over by the end of the second and we all knew it. Most depressing night.

The wife and I left right after Chara lifted the cup. Walked out and saw the cop car starting to burn in the distance and said to her, let's get the (frank) out of here. Went home and couldn't stop thinking "what if".

Good idea, keeps some vets around to stay in it and have fun. Don't go full Oilers or you'll regret it.

I loved Bure for standing up for himself on that play. In fact, I'd like to see them scalped a statue of that play and erect it outside Rogers Arena.

He was a beauty. I wonder how many games he would have got for that today?

25 games? Less because he was a super star?

To be honest, the loss in 94 bothered me the most, I loved how that team was built, such great character.

Yup. Instead they have Roger holding up the white towel.

Fitting.

It's a bit selfish but I wanted to have that moment on my life list. To see my team hoist the cup on home ice; that chance doesn't come around very often in one's life.

He probably didn't even get suspended. He'd be out for a year if he did that today.

True, But this looks soooooo much more brutal. And the puck was atleast kind of near danny for a sec.

You win. Or lose. Either or.

My wife brought a bottle of champagne home before the game and we brought it to our friends' place to drink if we won. Staring at that damn unopened bottle on the long cab ride home was brutal. It currently resides at the back of our fridge. One day... Until then, it just sits there, mocking me.

Five or six years of good drafting is what we need, consecutive years of good picks like St Louis has done & like LA has done is what it's gonna take. Until that happens, we'll never win sweet (frank) all.
