Still mad bro? 17seconds!!!!!!

Yeah sure, I'm really upset that we lost the Cup to a better team who plays a great brand of hockey.

Julien's right in general but off base on this particular one -- he didn't turn. Neither did Seids hit him in the back. Through no fault of either player someone got hurt, and that does happen.

I think there was a tiny bit of a turn cuz at the start of the sequence it looked like Seidenberg was going in shoulder to shoulder - not blaming Toews and i think it was a boarding penalty for sure but it's not a 'dirty' hit and doesn't deserve suspension.

I also disagree with the poster that states its a joke the NHL lets this happen to a top 5 player in the league...doesnt matter if its toews getting hit or andrew shaw the result and the judgement should be the same.

Hope Johnny is OK. That hit looks different every time I see it. The expectation should be that a player lets up in that situation, but I can see the fact that the initial attempt to hit was shoulder to shoulder.

If his stick is on the ice (all you young hockey fans pay attention here -edzo) the hit doesn't go down that way.

2 min penalty warranted. Suspension doubtful, because of past play. If that was john Scott making that hit, it's an auto 10 games and Towes is dead.

gotta love it happened right by the "have you been checked lately" sign

What it all comes down to is RESPECT that players should have for each other was that displayed last night NO. Toews was in a bad spot Seids can see his numbers he has an idea where he is in terms of ice/board location should have let up but didnt. That hit is no differant then someone flying across the ice with an elbow targeting another players head (Savard) thus ending a players career early.Just bad for any Hockey fan regardless of the team that he plays on

grow up. toews needs to protect himself better. or does he actually expect opposing players not to hit him?

go get yourself a cup of coffee and wake up

I'm so glad we don't have to watch Cindy Crosby play on a regular basis. The east coast fans are ignorant to hockey.

This season the Eastern conference should just play for some other trophy!

Look at it again no he didnt further more Seidenberg's stick is in the air so he has that intent to hurt someone. Just plain stupid and dangerous, and if it was one of your best players you would feel the same way.
- BGKarras

Even as a Habs fan/Bruin hater I can see it was a late turn that caused the issue. Toews was equally at fault and I doubt there will be any suspension, nor does one seem warranted for that hit.

This might be one of the whiniest things I have seen on this site, and that says a lot. I am picturing a few 4th graders crying over a toy when I read this.

Unfortunately, every team has it's share of stupid fans. We've seen a couple here in this thread that are as embarrassing to us as I'm sure some of yours have been to you.
Unfortunate play. No suspension given, nor was one warranted. Great 2nd and 3rd periods from the B's last night. Was on the edge of my seat most of the game.
Good luck the rest of the way.

Based on the fact that I have and still play the game I am going to disagree you. poop happens, while in motion, on skates, playing a physical game. There was no disrespect or intent to injure. I suggest you invest in a tennis racquet.

Yes.
Exactly as Seabrook on Backes in last year's playoffs. He turned to follow the puck and got nailed.

- 67hawks

Difference is the puck was no where near Backes when Seabrook trucked him

Toews at least had the puck

Not sure how you can call that a "turn". Total cheap shot, if hè was on any team other than the suspension proof Bruins, it would be 2-3 games.

The Gooins have zero respect for themselves how can they have respect for someone else , as long as Campbell is around the Gooins will never have to answer for their goonism , unfortunately that's what happens when a team's owner and father of one of their players has the NHL and the Commissioner in their back pocket , they don't have to answer , been going on for years , players almost killed by their goonism and still nothing is done .. its just a shame but it is definitely a fact and everyone knows it
