Happy B Day (belated), Ty.

Good write up and summary. A lil too effusive about the Hawks though. Q hasn't rolled 4 lines since the end of 13 UNTIL the beginning of this road trip. When he got comfortable with lines 3 and 4 was when they started to dominate. I think Sharp's return has upset that chemistry a bit and their last 2 games have been among the worst of the last 10. Also, the Hawks desperately need a 5-6 d man so Rosival can drop down. D depth could be a problem if Van Reimsdyk does not come back 100%.

Classy move by Seidenberg to wait outside the Hawks locker room to see if Toews was alright and to shake Sharp's hand.

Questionable play but he is not a dirty player. Julien's comments were posturing - not sure a player in today's game should be looking for a hit in that position (particularly with a man advantage). 9 out of 10 d men would look to lock up with and not hit Toews there.

Hawks were outplayed most of that game. Lucky to get the win.

it was nice to see someone else step up. Id rather have Kelly in the box than Looch. This is how they used to play, everyone stood up for each other. I was hoping Krug was gonna go too. And talk about dirty hits...

And Shaw would be crazy to drop em with Lucic. Smart move by Kelly to get another center off the ice - not like Shaw was winning any faceoffs though. That was not a dirty hit. Shaw had no clue the goal was scored. He simply followed through. Lucic was facing him. If he was turned the other way it could be dirty.

The Gooins have zero respect for themselves how can they have respect for someone else , as long as Campbell is around the Gooins will never have to answer for their goonism , unfortunately that's what happens when a team's owner and father of one of their players has the NHL and the Commissioner in their back pocket , they don't have to answer , been going on for years , players almost killed by their goonism and still nothing is done .. its just a shame but it is definitely a fact and everyone knows it

Difference is the puck was no where near Backes when Seabrook trucked him

Toews at least had the puck

- sycsam

You know, just when I think you may be the least douchey of the 4 or 5 Blues fans on this site you go on a troll session.

I know you Blues fans have Bruins/Hawks envy but face the facts.

1) Your team peaked when you reached the 2nd round a few years back. Win all the RS games you can and enjoy. Come playoff time your gone again.

2) Backes was carrying the puck just before Seabs clocked him. There is this thing called YouTube where everyone can see this.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFCiYri04Oo

I'm so glad we don't have to watch Cindy Crosby play on a regular basis. The east coast fans are ignorant to hockey.

This season the Eastern conference should just play for some other trophy!

- powerenforcer

Cindy Crosby, how original.. it's time to let it go bud, we understand your hate on the best player in the game is due to jealousy. "But we have toews!!!!11one!!" toews is great, but he's not sid. Remember all the who is the best player in hockey ovi or sid talks? Funny how toews wasn't in there and that those talks don't happen anymore. Case closed

The buzzer went off after the hit, as did the light and the horn.

Bettman still pissed that Sid only has 1 SC. Went out on a limb for the franchise and got burned by it.

Yep, lots of posts like that by Hawks fans....

I think they should just create a new HB thread about Crosby, surrounded by hugely talented players like Malkin and Letang, has led his team to multiple cups and looks to be the next dynasty....

Oh, wait.....

2 cup appearances under BYLSMA a joke of a coach. Oh yeah, sid has played with AHL wingers most of his career. Kunitz and dupes are always hurt or shuffled to genos line.

It must be sooooo hard to hit a career high of 76 points playing with kane, sharp, hossa, keith, seabrook etc

Please explain. He is doing so much for the franchise they needed to create a new (old) jersey to get more revenue. It's actions like that that make Bettman look like a fool.

Because no other team has throwbacks..? Management makes jersey decisions too. You are now wearing your ignorance badge proudly on your forehead. Congrats

I don't know how to even process this drivel...

You're the same type of person who argues he needs to wear a spaghetti strainer on his head in his license photo for Religious reasons.

Excuses, excuses....

I can't recall a single AHL player on Sid's wing in the last 4 playoff exits. I also can't recall Sid leading like a captain since his first 2 years. Also hear a lot of off ice stories about what an egomaniac he is. I think he is a better player than Toews - most Hawk fans do. No way he is a better leader though.

In Sid's case, it is for concussion reasons.

In the case of Blues fan's, licenses require tin foil hats and not spaghetti strainers... and that is for religious reasons.

And their throwback jerseys are tributes to their franchise peak of the last decade - a 2nd round playoff appearance.

hard to judge a persons leadership when you aren't in the room. Thing is Toews looks like a great leader and he is lauded for it.

Saying Crosby, who I give a TON of poop, isn't is saying things based on nothing. Same as "off ice stories" know who makes those up? People who like to stir crap.

I grew up 5 houses from him in Cole Harbour growing up, he's far from an egomaniac. Whiner, yeah probably, but wouldn't qualify a huge ego. He's quote level headed for a kid who was deemed the "next Gretzky" at 8 years old.

Money can change anybody. That said, so does pressure and Sid has had his share of that. Hard to judge based on anything but results and, in the comparison the Penguin troll was trying to make, we have plenty of those.

Not sure how that was a troll session but ok

I try and have good smart hockey talks and a Hawk fan makes comment off topic and I respond and I am the troll.

The blues lack of success in the RS talk is old

We know we have had zero playoff success since 2001. Give it a rest
