We're 8-3 in our last 11 and it got us to 27th. Lots of games left to decide our fate but my sense is it'll be a battle for McEichel.

I know nobody wants to hear this but.............. I was planting some Christmas flowers ( red and white color) in the flower pots today and I happen to see a guy from Edmonton. We started talking and he mentioned to me his brother in law has a connection to the Oilers and he was told they already made the decision to "Tank" so called, for McDavid. The press conference that they had last week was all bull$$t he told me, just to make the Oiler fans think they are aware of the issues and will take care of them.

I told him what a bunch of crap and he said, " you would be shocked how many people bough into it".

We can't even "tank" correctly without other teams getting in our way.

You know with the increased odds we actually do have a chance. But that's out of our control. The coaches and the players owe it to themselves to do the best they can night in and night out. And lately they are.


If our only hope of this team being what we want lies in getting the top 1 or 2 pick this year and this year only, then the owner and all the managers are complete failures and should be removed. You know what? I don't believe they are that one dimensional and while having Mcdavid looks to be a clear path to respectability, I don't think its the only one. I think the committed owner and his team are good enough at their jobs to deliver if plan "A" doesn't come through.
