You need to ask if she looks like your avatar there will be more than turkey coming home with her.

Seriously good on you for giving back

Yup, I'm here.

I skim through the pool stuff and the waaaaaay-off-topic stuff, and I often end up reading many hours after the fact, but I check in as often as I can.

Really enjoyed the feedback from yesterday's poll and the wide range of viewpoints on the season so far.

I feel like I know you all so much better than I did at this time last year!

With all the Canucks' days off coming up, brace yourself for plenty more holiday-themed posts in the next few weeks...

- Carol Schram

I think I know what you're referring to and I'd like to apologize
P.S. Thanks for the blogs as usual! Always makes for great reading

What line is he on with the Habs 3 Rd or 4? How does the scoring of theirs compare to our 3 or 4 th line?

Very good questions, he is used in the same fashion that he was used in Vancouver, defensive face-offs, win possession, get off the ice. We all know that puck possession is key to winning games whether in the lead or not and Malholtra gives the team that option.

We were paying 2.5 mil for a face off guy which would be equivalent to 4mil today.

I think we needed to let him go

On behalf of the male gender, I would like offer an apology... for everything

Just apologize for being male... it's just easier that way, everything's included.

Yikes! we actually agree on something (I think this is two in the last year and a half! we're obviously making progress )

I love Manny but at that time it was very uncertain whether or not he could continue his career. And whatever people say, I do believe there was at least a small element of safety/concern on behalf of the Canucks (of course that doesn't mitigate the selfish aspect by Gillis from the team/cap point of view ).

In any case, it just wouldn't be prudent to sign Manny to basically take face-offs (I know he's not that one-dimensional but there are other players who can do much more than that for basically a fraction of the cost). It's unfortunately a cold/hard business.

Watchng the Oilers game, as I'm in Alberta right now, wow are they brutal. The worst coached team in the league.

It's so bad. But from a Canucks perspective. It's pretty entertaining.

Glad that Corrado's not being called up again just to sit in the press box, let him play 20+ minutes in Utica. I've been reading that Sanguinetti is Utica's best d-man. I really would like to see him get the call instead and give him a shot over Weber.

2006 1st rounder, 26 years old, 6'2", very good skater and a PMD. Also shoot right and had very good possession numbers during his last season with Carolina.

The Oilers need to drink about a gallon of prune juice, the teams needs a bowel movement from the top down badly.

Manny's good but the real mistake was how much money we gave Manny. They paid him like a 2nd liner (at the time) for a face off specialist
