Ok, I got to get this off my chest. I've never seen the Flyers play as bad D as they have during this latest stretch of games. It's like they play a totally inferior system compared to all other 29 teams in the league. Im surprised I havent heard anyone here mentioning Gord Murphy and his impressive (sarcasm) resume as a D coach (FYI 8 years with a putrid BJs and 3 years with the Panthers). To believe that the results will be stellar with 3 untested and/or below-average coaches is totally mind-blowing to me. And does the Flyers even promote/push skate-training on their players? I seriously doubt it.

The Hurricanes are a bad team, but the Flyers are doing what they need to do against a bad team. Good period for the O&B

Agreed. Not please with a lot of things. Solid victory Thursday and this game should be a given but the way they lost Tuesday and so many games prior, it's a huge concern and can't be placed all on the players. Being at the Detroit game, it was really embarrassing. Mason being pulled when he was seems like a really poor decision.

Last time I checked there were two D and three forwards on the ice. How come the flyers keep getting outnumbered and being one step behind on every play in their own zone? They are playing a totally reactionary style of play, which obviously results in being hemmed in their zone for long periods of time. A lot of it is on the players but isn't some of it also on the D-coach?

Interesting that the NHL would make a deal with Epix.com considering it doesn't look like Comcast carries the channel.
