It would seem that the only city in Canada that would get a team would be Quebec City. I doubt they put another team in Toronto. The Nordiques-Habs rivalry in the 80's was awesome.

I could see a second team in Toronto. While it doesn't make logical geographic sense, if they get an owner willing to willing to pay that north of $400 million expansion fee, it's going to be tough for the league to say no to. They'll get the revenue, and it will generate more revenue. It will be a situation where the NHL would have to say "take the money, we'll worry about making it work later".

The winning has brought me back to hockey a bit more recently. So much that I turned on Hockey Night in Canada per game show and forgot about Ron McClain being replaced

That might be correct, but if an owner or a group in Toronto is willing to put up the cash and has an arena ready, I don't think the NHL would hesitate to give them the green light.

Maybe it's just a matter of getting used to, but George Strombolopolous (however you spell it) does nothing for me.

I also didn't mind their replacement theme song when the lost the old one in 2008. The Sportsnet package cheapens things.

I always thought that Elliotte Friedman was going to be MacLean's heir, but apparently not.

They also need to bring the music montages back. It might be the best part of the HNIC broadcast.

The Sabres have instilled a very New Jersey Devils-esque system. Couple that with the zero atmosphere in that arena, it makes for a very tough team to watch, even when they're winning.

Yeah I'm done with this team. The only team in the history of pro sports who can't even lose right. Last year was nice but they done gone (frank)ed it all up.
