I don't think Chip believes that. He's just playing the hand he's dealt. Chip has said many times that it's hard to win without good play from your QB. He said that's true of all levels: high school, college and professional.
Kelly snagged Mariota as a recruit and still went after Manziel. He had him signed, but Manziel decided against him him because Oregon was too far from home. If Kelly coached somewhere in Texas, Manziel would have played for him.
I'm telling you, Kelly knows how important the position is and he will do whatever it takes to get a good QB - PhillySportsGuy
Holmgren would find a way to acquire the QB no matter what the expense, and then, after that QB went down with a career-ending eye injury, he'd have an overpaid patchwork QB system for the next 3 years. He'd then be replaced by an ex-Eagle who took them to the championship game as a player (McNabb). |

I had a house full of Leaf fans Saturday night and. I just got roasted about Vinny. I had no defense.
I could only mention that wonderful Clarkson deal |

Well, this all said...we'll find out if Chip has balls or not this week, assuming Foles is healthy. Sanchez is a known quantity, and that's a bad thing in his case. At least with Foles, you have a somewhat unknown quantity that could go either way. |

I don't think he's better than Cote right now. If the team continues to win, he's going to be an expensive healthy scratch for 3 more years haha |

I hung out with some Leafs fans Saturday as well, and I told them at least Vinny probably knows who Mandela is... and if not, he's certainly had time to research it of late.. |

I would go with Foles without a doubt. The Sht Skins would be a good game to shake the rust off. |

Well, in their defense, the 3-goal lead was with 10 minutes left. They had a 2-goal lead with like a minute and a half.
I loved the guy who used some rough (and misleading) math to prove that happens once every thousand years. |

Last night I was listening to Iggles fans talking about trading McCoy to whoever had the #1 pick and taking Mr Heisman with that pick. Their reasoning is that McCoy, just like all other workhorse RB's, is now going to be starting that slide off a cliff all elite RB seem to go through when they are used a lot.

I would do it if I am the Eagels, though I doubt they would get him for that. I am a Bengals fan and J Hill is a much more punishing back and Gio is a ( McCoy like back) but J Hill is better IMO. He is much harder to bring down and has great hands as a receiver. |

its football u need a strong offensive line period. if chip is that dumb to give up in foles so quickly then hes a clown. nfl qb's typically should get a good 3-4 years before you pass a verdict on them. - JoeRussomanno
they need to worry about that secondary before the QB. Remember when the secondary was a real strength? been such garbage since. |
