Agreed, I imagine Uncle Gary wouldn't be wild about it. But then, it's not unprecedented. The Islanders acquired Tim Thomas' contract (while he was taking his time off) to get above the cap floor and nothing happened.
Of course, Thomas' wasn't one of the frontloaded contracts, so maybe they see it differently. - BulliesPhan87
Right, there is some ambiguous language in the CBA, especially in terms of corcumvention, so we'd have to see where it goes.

Personally, I think they should just give us a mulligan, give him the remainder of his money, and never talk about it again. They don't even have to tell anybody, I won't mind.
