Oilers said Coots and 1st 2015 to start lol - Winning
If I was Edmonton, it would start with Simmonds, Laughton and Coburn. I'd Richarder over prospects, and be willing to give up a pick or two if the Flyers threw in Hagg or Gostisbehere. |

I think the most memorable Forsberg moment for me was the Ryan Malone hit.
There are 2 hits by Forsberg here but the team was having a terrible season and if you keep a close eye on the score, you can see some life being brought into this team because of Forsberg's hits in a lack luster afternoon game.
Forsberg era vs. Roenick era, which did you enjoy most? |

Simmonds cap hit alone is the number one reason why I could NEVER part with this guy. Never! Best long term deal in the league! |

Oilers really needed to move up for Ekblad in this last draft. And should have done the same for Jones. I have no faith in their front office to build a competent team. I bet a good number of these players have already tuned MacT out by now before he even steps behind the bench.
Its going to be fun to see these kids all start asking for trades or leaving as UFAs over the next few years. No one wants to be an Oiler right now. |

He's been very steady with Sault Ste Marie in games I've watched........Probably a good lock he makes the Canadian WJC roster. |

Rumor kicking around that the Flyers hired former Colorado director of amateur scouting Rick Pracey. If so, that's a HUGE hire.
Pracey was instrumental in the young talent that Colorado stockpiled over the past five or six seasons. |

Who, 2real?
He's found several good prospects in the 2nd-4th rounds, most notably Ryan O'Reilly and Tyson Barrie.
The Avalanche also had four guys in the Subway Super Series. They have some pretty solid young depth in their system and Pracey is a big part of that. |

This and the fact the Aves have had only one really good season since their youth movement, which was last season. |

My question would be if he was so important and good. Why did the Avs let him go? |

Personality conflict with Roy is what the Avs bloggers have hinted at. They're pretty uniformly bummed that he's gone. |

The rumor is that Roy can be very difficult to work with, if your lips are not firmly planted on his ass cheeks.
Pracey's brought some good young talent into Colorado's system. I'm all for a guy that has shown he can do that elsewhere being added to the mix. |

I hope you are right on target with the higher but if this guy was let go because he couldn't get along with a coach two months into his second season, that's really stupid. You could suggest this scout set the table for Roy. With this said, the Oilers have a lot of solid young talent but the Oilers as a whole can't seem to get it together. |
