"Three draws will be held: the 1st Lottery draw will determine the Club selecting first overall, the 2nd Lottery draw will determine the Club selecting second overall and the 3rd Lottery draw will determine the club selecting third overall."
After the drawing for the top three slots, the remaining four through 14 will go in inverse order of their regular season points. |

I don't know if he said that, as Ekblad is regarded as a potential franchise player. But he did make the comparison to McDonaugh. I have to admit, I wasn't a fan of the pick, but after watching him, that is the player he reminds me of. Will be interesting to see him as he matures. - jmatchett383
I'll admit, when I heard them announce the pick, I thought, "I don't know anything about this draft class."
This is the end of my post. |

I agree. I'd say there is a good chance that at least one or two of the big four prospects never develops into anything more than a third pairing guy - PhillySportsGuy
Exactly. Just because they're high picks, you do get your fair share of player like Ryan Sittler, Maxime Oulette, and Jeff Woywitka. |

That's why im glad they have several of them. They've given themselves a good chance of finding a top pairing guy and a couple of top 4 guys |

Absolutely. I think the kind of "forgotten" player is Mark Alt, one of the better trades made by Homer later in his tenure. I don't think he'll ever be anything special, but he could be a potential MAB kind of guy who gives himself a shot at a bottom-pair role. |

What a farce.. No accountability for Mactavish or Lowe? Jebus, at least promote them like the Flyers org does. |

They should name Gretzky coach.
I'm half serious, to my own surprise. When he coached in Phoenix, you had possibly the smartest player in the history of the game coaching (more or less) a handful of second liners and role players. Maybe a guy like him could work better in Edmonton with more skilled players. |

I would love to see:
Sanheim Hagg
Morin Ghost
Veteran Alt
two or three or four years from now.
Of course this is an ultimate best case scenario, but it seems that at least that top 4 is a good bet to play in the nHL. Whether or not they live up to expectations is a different story. But it sure is nice to see a deep defensive prospect pool in an historically weak Flyers system.

It's worth a try. I am amazed that the Oilers haven't been able to turn the corner, but I guess it makes sense with how bad their drafting has been from the 2nd round on,. |

I'd like to see him get a shot soon. It's a shame he was hurt when the Flyers needed call ups. He's getting close to that make or break point though. |

That's not for this season. That's for the 2016 draft. This season there will be one drawing still with improved odds for non playoff teams with higher point totals. |

Yeah, he probably needs to break through either this season or next, or he'll be labelled as a Danny Syvret level player.
Until the Flyers trade him and he becomes the next Keith Yandle. |

I think he will get a chance after the TDL if the team moves a veteran. But the depends on where the Flyers are at, at that time. He would have probably been called up over Gostisbehre and Manning if not for the injury. |

The next thing will almost certainly be a trade, unless MacTavish is, himself, replaced.

So it's better to be a bubble team as opposed to the 4th worst team in the league? Is this the Edmonton rule? Cause if so, they're doing it wrong.
