Umm Toronto was 11th or so in the conference when they traded two 1sts and a 2nd to the Boston Bruins for a guy named Phil Kessel and they ended up selecting 2nd overall. At the time of the trade the pick was not expected to be top 3 |

Personally, maybe I'm getting old, but a trade at this point would suck for 99% of players, especially those with families. Realizing of course it is a business, they could happen.
I don't see a trade in Buffalo's future for awhile, especially while they are winning.
Stranger things have happened.
I'd say no, final answer. |

The pluses will have to be huge, we've gone from being able to trade two potential top 10 picks to having our best pick as barely in the top 10. |

If somebody offered to trade you Grigo for Torrey Mitchell straight up you'd do that in a minute right?
So do we get better with Grigos call up?
I'm starting to think we've finished the tear down and stockpile phases of the rebuild and it's time to enter the "acquisition" phase. Let's see if Edmonton will entertain offers for Hall. They have effectively acknowledged they can't draw FAs and its hard to do trades: I wonder if we could package non-Myers Dmen, prospects and picks for scoring. Do it Murray!!! |

Get young NHL ready players, we have loads of prospects and picks.
I will say Myers has become a solid #3 NHL defensemen, if we can package Myers, Hodgson and 1st Rd pick for Taylor Hall......sign me up! |

As long as its not reinhart, girgensons, risto, zads and maybe even the gringo, id be ok with what we let go. We still have plenty of picks to add some depth of needed. Wed be getting a legit, young, 1st line player. |

Still early . but the team in general is playing good hockey. No sign of it letting up either. Sucks for our standing in the draft.
But ..we are winning with these young prospect playing . How will we do when the next bunch comes in ? |

Well, if that is a result of our winning with this group of below average players, imagine what can happen when some of the youngin's get in and are comfortable.
The team is gelling can't see them keeping this pace though... As the points percentage the last 13 games it championship caliber. Bound to come down to earth but when?

Didn't Boston want to get rid of Kessel though? He wasn't an established player either (think he only played two years). |

I'm afraid that we won't be able to get B without giving up some of A. Nobody will give up there top players for our mid level prospects. |

I would do that, but Mitchell has been playing a good role on this team with his responsible play and great motor. I'm not sure we will necessarily get better with that move, but it'll be fun to see. |
