The one who should care is the one trying to acquire the essential piece so that it CAN be done.

He also plays against the oppositions top forwards during that time and does a great job limiting their scoring chances close to our net . And 28-30 minutes a game TOI is what #1 defense men do . Do some research on that.

I think we all realize what a number 1 does but thanks for alluding im clueless. As its often been stated, our goaltenders have been going above and beyond this season. Which also may reflect favorably for our defenses numbers. Like I asked does myers get the same numbers on say a playoff team? I think he may be a fine number two at the end of the year. Number ones usually dominate an aspect of the game. Myers is solid but not dominate.

This is just me but id rather have a great defense with a decent offense. That would be my plan of action. This does not say when given the opportunity to pick eichel or mcdavid, i pass it up. Im just more of a defensive minded person.

That is just it , he is dominating . You just are not looking for the right things . You want him to be physical like Irish. That is not what he is!Goaltending numbers last couple of wins have been below average so there goes that theory . You want to appreciate Myers? Watch him without the puck . His positioning , stick work , using his large frame to shield the other teams goal scorers from our dirty scoring areas . Hopefully with a team with a little bit better supporting cast he is putting in 22-25 minutes a game.

I wish they would trade Myers simply to end these arguments between an unstoppable force and an unmovable object...which one wins..neither, just like this argument.

I think the next time this argument starts, 5 day bans should be distributed.

Mctavish is really supposed to be a GM. It does not matter who coaches there . The coaches are not the real problem there . That has become obvious. Just a person to blame for the annual failures. They all could not be that bad.

My post was completely serious. I cant stand the fact that people want their favorite team to be last in the league. What a loser attitude and then the same posters get mad when other teams (oilers) are losing better

Ive never said he needs to by physical. And two games of slightly down goaltending doesn't debunk the other games through out the here. We'll agree to disagree. You wont convince me hes a norris candidate or in the same breath as doughty, weber and co.

yes because that one season when they tried to win and still failed will be so much more memorable than finishing in last.
