I think that there are better players to get if teams start selling off then Hall right now..
Colorado could sell a piece or two...
Carolina could sell some guys..
Columbus could sell some pieces..
Even Arizona has some solid pieces...

True statement...
I'm not 100% tunnel visioned on Hall though either...
There are plenty of other guys that could be had at the right price but I don't believe for a minute that we are going to be "buyers" regardless.
We have seen how well Murray can take apart a team and get draft picks just like Regier could.... but now we will get to see if Murray can BUILD a team unlike Regier ever could. - JVince11
Murray from day 1 has said he'd be a buyer of young talent in flux on other teams. And if these silly rumors are true, he should be hounding the Oil right now. |

The winning has been fun, but I still think this team is more likely a bottom-5 squad than a playoff team. The season is way too long for the goalies to maintain a level of play that wins them games when they are outshot by double digits nightly. If Hall were available and it took Myers to land him, the Sabres would still have a very reasonable shot at Hanifin or Kylington in the draft. |

I'd start with Pysyk, the Isles 1st, and StL 1st.
Go from there. - dadeadhead

Hall was a number 1 pick, 23 yrs old and a 1st line player that can put up 80 points. You will not get him for picks it need's to start with Myers. |

Only knock on Hall is his rugged style tends to wind him up injured.
From an age and forward perspective; Unless Colorado sells off any of Mac, Duchene, or Landeskog, there aren't any player on those teams listed that are better than Hall. |

I agree....and it probably won't cost one of the guys we are looking to build around like Risto or Zadorov.....from Az Hanzal or vermette would be a nice additions....obviously they are not elite scorers but they are true Centers that can help down the middle and at both ends of the ice

Colorado could sell a piece or two... As long as ROR isn't in the conversation, I'm game
Carolina could sell some guys..Who's worth pursuing besides Skinner? And he'll be almost as expensive as Hall and he's definitely not the same caliber.
Columbus could sell some pieces..Won't happen. They're like a year or two ahead of us in their rebuilding. Any young noteworthy talent is staying put.
Even Arizona has some solid pieces... What, Boedker? Why? Yandle would be a dandy catch, but his cost is probably too much for what you get back. OEL...lol.. then what. I don't see them giving away any of their young talent either. If you want to go young talent hunting, you attack players in flux or playoff teams with spare pieces that they won't need for a few years. - JVince11

most of the times, when a player like Hall is traded, 3 or 4 pieces of lesser value go the other way |

We don't need Centers though. We need scoring wingers, badly. |

2 weeks ago the Oilers have a BULL$$$T presser (where have we seen that before) to tell everyone that everything is fine and to stay the corse, then they fire there coach after saying everything is fine, now the media or the Oilers start the Taylor Hall might be moved crap? I don't buy it. |
