It's close fantasy sports week for me. I won in football by less than a point (why the hell did the Bears take Forte out of the game when he had 99 yards?? Whew..now I'm in the championship).

Glad I missed this game. Looks like it was a rough one. Though I think I would have rathered suffer through it than have to comfort my friend who's ex decided to take off to Florida with her son 2 days earlier than he was supposed to. Left a note in the mailbox instead of bringing him home after his normally scheduled visitation.

That's what I said too. Especially since he won't answer his phone at all. She called the police and her lawyer. The sad part is all the police did was tell her there wasn't much they could do and that she had to file the papers with family court today that her lawyer advised her to do. They then said that as soon as he gets back in the state with her son, he'll be arrested. In the meantime, she's a mess. I felt so bad.

Yeah sounds like when he gets back his visitations rights will be revoked and will have to have supervised only visitations.

It's actually a bit of both. A few months ago he petitioned the court for full custody, but then the day before their court date his lawyer postponed stating he was sick. His ability to take him out of the state was another thing that had been brought up, because she wouldn't allow him to do so. The court stated he wasn't to take him anywhere unless they stated he could. Paperwork was filed for that about 30 days ago, but she hasn't gotten anything stating what the courts decision was so she knew that he was going to pull something.

The note that he left her yesterday stated the reason for leaving 2 days early is because they weather is supposed to get bad today into tomorrow. She has the exact address he's taking him to and a copy of the plane tickets for the two of them to return on the 28th. She just hopes that all of this hurts his case, because it seems like nothing he does is ever held against him.

He doesn't actually want full custody any more than she wants him to have it. He's done this before, just to piss her off pretty much. The kid is 4 and has a complete meltdown every time he's told he's going to his dad's. And it's not like he spends a ton of time there in the first place. He gets him 3 days a week from 1:30-5:45 and all day Saturday. He has him for 1 full weekend a month, starting on Friday evening and ending on Sunday evening.
