I know, right? They get the CBO and immediately sign an aging veteran to a multi-year deal. Nullifies the miracle a bit. Everything is too good to be true!

My biggest frustration with Amac is he is very average offensively.
More often then not his shot is blocked or misses the net.

Matt Carle did more on offense even with his weak "muffin top" shot then AMac is giving them this year.

Amac is an OK player all around. But for a "puck mover" they get very little shot or even set ups in the O zone from him.

I'd much rather have Stralman Erhoff or even a guy like Johnny Oduya then Amac right now for the contract.

I guess some players as UFAs may take less $ to play for a better team.

This is sans lottery or if the worst team wins it. Flyers will win the lottery. Too much bad luck recently (Umberger/VLC, Ghost tears ACL, Morin breaks jaw, etc) and it needs to even out.

The Flyers should be able to get a great player in the 1st this year, and pick up multiple picks by selling at the deadline. The playoffs are a pipe dream.
