Doubt it, but if SJ wants a third line center, mtl could move Eller. - deadpoulet

Congratulations. I'd take the Sharks in the postseason for the last four years over a few W's at the Tank any day. - Team_Teal
Whats their success in the post season? Seriously how are they going to collapse this year, what new and exciting ways are they going to let you down again?
The Sabres are supposed to be bad its called a rebuild, taking a cheap shot at them especially at a time when they are winning is dumb. |

I'll take the regular season disappointment for a shot at McEichel over the perennial playoff disappointment handed to you by Patrick Marleau and Joe Thorton. |

Actually comments don't count as hits, so if I was trolling for hits I would have put something in the title.
But the comments have been great so far. |

What would you want for Eller from SJ? - Tim Chiasson
That's a good question. Maybe just a 2nd round pick but SJ probably would wants to dump some $$. So I don't know.
Eller comes with a 3.5 cap hits. |

Sharks have the dollar room to take on Eller without dumping salary, although it doesn't leave much wiggle room. I'd do that trade. Eller's a good possession and faceoff guy.
It'd all depend on if Wilson planned to make any deals to improve the blueline more or not I guess. |

Berglund would be great. What do you think the Sharks would have to fork over though? - Tim Chiasson
That's the problem we know STL would like to move him and free up cap space........... my fear it would take some sort of package involving Nieto though, i don't want to give up on Nieto. That's why it's more realistic to try and add RW for Logan's line & put Wingels back on the 3rd line IMO. What do you think? |

I'd be more than open to watch Wingels at center, but I think we'd need a winger for him as well as Couture. |

Wingels is just a faceoff guy so that would never work. He's just our top9 RW twf/grinder. |

Wingels is probably our most tradeable asset. I don't mean that he is the guy we should definitely trade, but if you are looking at assets that we would likely trade and that other teams might want, Wingels is the guy who sticks out.
So the question in my mind is, would you want to trade Wingels + to get a third line centre? Would that improve our team? |

I guess really depends if were comfortable with either Goodrow or Karlsson on the 3rd line, if we move Wingels Nieto would take back his spot on the 2nd line. We haven't seen enough of Goodrow or Karlsson to make a move like that yet IMO. |

Tim Chiasson: A Pavelski Worth of Thoughts: Hall, Stadium Series, McLellan and more
Another day off for the Sharks so let's talk about a bunch of stuff. Some relevant, some irrelevant. - Tim Chiasson
Do you agree with Eklund's assessment that pretty much everyone on the Sharks is available...? I'd find it hard to believe they'd part with Couture, Pavelski, or Hertl because it would create more holes then getting that one piece back could fill. Especially cause I have a sneaking suspicion its more defense they're after... |

The only Sharks i know are available.....Irwin & Kennedy. I believe Eck's out of his f*cking mind. We need 3rd line center or 3rd line winger help and most of all upgrade Irwin |

I don't really believe in untouchables but I'd also be shocked if certain players were traded away. That being said if the Sharks are after a big fish on defense it wouldn't come cheap. I think GMs should always listen to offers on everyone, you never know what could materialize. |

If the Sharks have to trade away a top line forward to get a top D pairing defenseman they should do it without any question.
Something like Logan Couture for Keith Yandle would suffice since AZ won't be able to afford him after next season.
Vlasic - Yandle
Burns - Dillon
Braun - Hannan/Mueller/Irwin/... |
