Grigorenko and Pysyk + a 1st for Hall
- sbroads24

I could agree with that.

I like what Grigorenko could be, but I'd take the risk.

This has been my point the entire time. We are in a rebuild. We have key pieces emerging during this. Myers, Risto, Zadorov, Girgensons, Ennis... they are all a part of the new core. I want to ADD to this core, not subtract from it. Especially on defense. I dont want to trade Myers just because we have Ristodorov. I want to keep Myers and Risotdorov. We have the pieces to lure Hall out of Edmonton in a variety of ways. The only way I feel we should do that is to sacrifice futures not any roster players (considering any players not mentioned above are just fluff so unless EDM asked for them...).

My offer would be:
BUF 2015 1st rounder (top 3 protected, if we finish with a top 3 pick --> 2016 1st rounder)
NYI 2015 1st rounder
1 of Armia, Pysyk, McCabe

Trading Hall almost guarantees Edmonton McEichel. And I'm pretty sure adding Hall would likely take us out of the top 3, but not good enough to leave the top 10. Therefore, EDM likely walks away with 2 top 10 picks (McEichel + Kylington, Strome, Marner, Zacha, Barzal, or Werenski) in this draft for Hall. On top of an extra 1st and a grade A prospect close to if not already NHL ready.

You are making too much sense!!
There is no place for it.

You are not getting Hall without Myers, case closed.

That would fall in to the category of "accelerated rebuild."

Yeah you can. In fact the 2015 1st is probably more valuable (to EDM) than Myers.

No you can't, they want a number 1 D man not young players 2 years away and not more picks. They want a number 1 D man, you won't get Hall for anything less

I don't know about that. I think they want to stop being bad right now. Trading Hall makes them worse, getting Myers evens it out a little bit.

Getting a 1st for Hall sets them back a bit.

More than a bit imo. That 1st will not replace Hall for a year or 2 . unless he really is the golden child.

You can't get a number 1 pick 23 yrs old, 80 points and number 1 winger for picks and prospects. Myers is where the talking starts, as it should. They like Psysk, they always have but him and picks with a couple prospects will in no way get you Hall.

If....and that's a big IF.... Hall is on the block, the offers will be from many teams. The Oilers will have plenty to choose from. I still think it's the media starting this.

I wish they would take someone besides Myers but, it's not going to happen.

Oh I agree 89. Getting Hall would have to include Myers+. I'm not thinking it would be as much as most think. I think Myers and Psysk could do it. As Denzel said . we wanna keep our really good players and build around them. Some want to trade everything away for 1 player. Then what we got ? Dink. and looking for compliment players. We all know how easy that is to get.

Myers and Psysk is a good start but a Forward (2) and a pick also. A player like Hall " on the block" isn't a everyday thing.

I like both too . Miller can play lights out. But became done with that run. Nothing won for the team. Thought Miller was over rated by the media. And Vanek you couldn't depend on for when you needed him.

Miller was always in the spotlight because the media here put him there. I think he would have been content to stay in the shadows. He's a quiet guy. Essentially though, he was the heir to the Hasek throne, so the media flocked to him.
