This team does nothing to create time and space for themselves, they don't hit, they don't forecheck well, they don't back check well, they don't muscle their way through traffic, and no one sweeps the porch in front of Mase or Razor.

I'm really starting to dislike this team on general principles. I like the guys who make up the team, but they mostly suck at the fundamentals of hockey.

Did I mention they can't get out of their own zone? Ugh!

They need rest man. They're tired. They been putting up lights, getting a tree, wrapping gifts, decorating... it wears a fella out. Plus there's all the cookies and extra food around. everyone knows a full belly makes ya drowsy.

They pick it back up in January when the season really matters.

Way to miss the point on the comparison.

When the idea being suggested is stupid, there's no jumping to conclusions. Lecavalier has had a season and a half now, as a Flyer. He's been bad for 90% of that time. At what point does the way he's performing now trump his past glory for you?

Not saying it doesn't happen, but when it does, it's generally a dumb idea. You want to scratch VandeVelde? Great, 100 % on board. Rinaldo? Absolutely. Neither does enough good to justify a spot. Sadly, Lecavalier no longer does enough to justify a spot

He didn't miss the point on the comparison, he simply called it out for what it was. He posted basically that while sitting Laughton wouldn't be his choice, that it wouldn't be the end of the World for a rookie to sit out a game, as long as he wasn't sent down and it was just temporary. The point that was missed is that he's right.

there's ZERO reason or justification for sitting laughton.
