Maybe that's the way you see it, but it see it kind of like my Wife. She drives me crazy and pisses me off sometimes, but she's still the best thing that ever happened to me, and I wouldn't know what to do with out her. And it's about good times and bad.

Watching the Flyers this year is like a bad love interest. Like going on a date with a girl that you thought looked good after a couple of martinis. She still looks well sorta good but half the time she gets drunk and barfs and passes out. Occasionally you have a good night, but its like low expectations dating with low self esteem and wondering why you waste your time and you are sometimes ashamed to admit you are dating her.
You know she has potential but she has to straighten her act out and her problems run so deep it will take years. Like a bad divorce waiting to happen.

No. They have to choke on it now. It's not so much about Yandle, because I'd love him here, but what Arizona is going to want in return. I'm not giving up youth for Keith Yandle. It's too late to build from the top down, you have to shed vets and add youth like 2007.
- mayorofangrytown

what do you think they want in return? and keep in mind that 2007 rebuild was successful due in part to trading youth for an aging chris pronger... while yandle is no chris pronger, he's not exactly old either

there's ZERO reason or justification for sitting laughton.

Bench his ass, he's not smiling. Where's his team and/or Christmas spirit?

I think you'd be looking at one of B. Schenn, Couturier, or Laughton, and either one of the young defenseman, Morin or Sanheim, or a 1st round pick.

7. (7) Mathew Barzal, C, Seattle (WHL) Still sidelined by a broken kneecap that has limited him to 16 games.

That just makes me (frank)ing cringe.

Strange way to rebuild, sending 4 first round picks plus a third for an aging Pronger..

You got ripped off. Yandle isn't worth that. What kind of player do you think Yandle is?

He didn't miss the point on the comparison, he simply called it out for what it was. He posted basically that while sitting Laughton wouldn't be his choice, that it wouldn't be the end of the World for a rookie to sit out a game, as long as he wasn't sent down and it was just temporary. The point that was missed is that he's right.
- MJL

And I believe the flip side that many were pointing out is that it would be a dumb move.

Not the end of the world. And dumb. They can coexist.

I don't know that I'd call it dumb, but that would be arguing semantics, and doesn't really matter. I think the poster that was chastised was offering a reasonable opinion.

Pronger was a top defenseman and a true difference maker. Yandle is not. I'll again ask what kind of player do you think Yandle is?
