I would really like to know how many goals the 4th line has produced. I'm not expecting them to score 30 goals but it would be nice if they could chip in a goal once every 4 or 5 games

Here's what I expect from him:

Games 1-4: He comes out playing like an 18-year-old working to make the team to stay in the lineup, and plays an adequate all-around game chipping in some points.

Game 5-7: Returns to disinterested Vinny and is threatened to be returned to the Cote suite.

Game 8: In an effort to remain in the lineup, he comes out and plays the best game of his Flyers' career, potting 2 goals and 2 assists. Late in the game, he blocks a shot (something he took up in Game 2 of his return to help keep him in the lineup) and shatters his foot into 17 pieces.

Bettman, with a smile, declares that VLC is fit to play and Flyers may not use LTIR allowance.

I would like to see Del Zotto back in the lineup. I feel our defense can't make an outlet pass to save their lives.

He's pretty awful. He was good on the 2nd unit PP last year. He's really not good unless he's standing near the right circle. Anywhere else on the ice is a problem for him

I'm sick of the VDV/Jones/Rinaldo/Schultz type of players. These are the guys who should be playing if and only if we have 2+ injuries at their positions, not the top options.

Granted, I know that they are, sadly, our best options. But it's just sad that we have players that would have trouble cracking 29 other NHL rosters.

whenever i think of a saturn, it's always that horrible turquoise color and rusting around the bottom.

But he's gotta be better than VDV. He just has to be.

I'm sick of the VDV/Jones/Rinaldo/Schultz type of players. These are the guys who should be playing if and only if we have 2+ injuries at their positions, not the top options.

Granted, I know that they are, sadly, our best options. But it's just sad that we have players that would have trouble cracking 29 other NHL rosters.

I agree, although Schultz has played pretty well. I'd say he's played like a solid 3rd pairing dman, which is pretty much a top pairing dman on this group.

The one thing I thought they could have done last summer was improve the forwards and make them a better two-way team.

Instead, Homer used almost all of the available cap space to sign Amac, Hexy traded a top 6 forward for a fringe NHLer and Hexy was unwilling to eat any money in any VL deal.

It was nice they added PEB, but they should have looked for more players like him instead of signing Amac or trading for Umberger.
