I always hate when anybody compares the books to the movies. They are two different entities... the books typically INSPIRE the movies. And since the movies are directed by someone different than who wrote the books, they put their own swing on things as well. I personally, have read the books and greatly enjoyed the movies... because I look at them as two different entities. I despise when people's biggest gripe is how it's not following storyline. Same with the Walking Dead... it's a never ending b!^c#fest with everyone because it isn't following the comics... well, it's not supposed to...
I do agree with the Hobbit series though, that there's too much CGI... more than needs to be. LOTR I think he did a good job on... but in the Hobbit, it just seems overdone. Especially with Azog and Bolg... they are 100% CGI, when in the LOTR, most of the Orcs and Urukai were just good make-up effects. It almost seems like the easy way out.. idk... I still enjoyed the Hobbit movies though.. haven't seen the BotFA yet, but am planning to next week! - WarriorHockey21
I liked LOTR. Hobbit movies just overkill with CGI. Makes me feel like I am watching a video game, and far too many cheesy scenes (that race down the river in the 5 armies trailer). I loved the orcs in LOTR because of the make-up effects.
I don't care if he swung from the books, but I don't want to feel like Im watching a video game.

Dressing vinny might be a last ditch effort to try and show Florida there's something in the gas tank. Wasn't Florida one of the teams reported to have a slight interest? |

You'd be better served staying on topic, which is clearly difficult when you can't come up with a comeback. |

I would really like Hextall to look in low risk high reward moves. Columbus was able to get Morin and Luke Adams. They could be nothing but they also could be solid NHL forwards. I think of a guy like Grigorenko in Buffalo. He seems to have been yo yo'd around there and hasn't really panned out lik they have liked. maybe you can make a deal for him at the deadline. I don't know what it would cost but maybe something worth looking into.
I guess i would prefer some smarter moves this year if we are dealing at the deadline. This team needs to be smarter in the way money is used and maybe take more of a chance on younger players then vets. |

So does people dying in drunk driving accidents. Doesn't make it less stupid.
Laughton has been highly effective, providing good two way play and chipping in offense. He's also one guy who is giving an obvious effort night in and out.
Sitting him would be dumb, period. Sitting him to get Vinny's corpse in the line up is really dumb. |

Morin would have been nice, but we sadly didn't have an Erixon to give up. |
