Really like what Despres brings. Probably shouldn't move him with uncertainty of martin and erhoff. Especially when despres is signed cheap and could very easily be a 3-4 dman next season
- jchst22

x1000. This team needs more players with his attributes. Big, hits, good skater with decent puck skills. I'm tired of watching my team get physically dominated in the playoffs. Nisky was a nice player, but he got steamrolled by Boston a couple of years ago.

Anybody remember what Despres did the Brian Boyle the other night? More of that!

Maybe not crappy but far lesser value.
- Ihatebrianburke

Yes but no one is going to go star for star that just doesn't happen. I'm not sure how I'd feel if I were in your shows about trading my star but you need a lot of help sometimes you get a quantity of quality which can really help. I agree I don't think Edmonton trades Hall and I understand why kids a stud.

Smith-Pelly, Jagr, and Glencross and roll the dice

Kunitz-Crosby-Jagr
Glencross-Malkin-Hornqvist
Comeau-Sutter-Downie
Klinkhamer-Goc-Smith-Pelly

Didn't account for who was going the other way in these trades, but im sure it could be done cap wise; and that wouldn't cripple our team.

- nbartley9

Bartley with you on jags all it would take maybe bennet or a 2nd round pick

Ideally. A Top 9/ Top 6 Tweener guy and a young D with top 4 potential.
Example, with montreal it would be Eller and Tinordi

I think Palmer is right, I don't think Jagr takes much to get out of NJ; they are dropping fast. Not Bennett though, I would trade Bennett but not for Jags

Not bad. I'm in on Bergenheim and Tlusty. I think both bring needed depth and a 200 foot game that will help out a lot.

Only real attractive top 9/6 tweener would be Sutter. Hard to pass on ROR but I don't think I'd do Sutter and Harrington for him. He's absolutely worth it but the term isn't there and he's most likely taking off to the highest bidder

I don't know why you're writing about going all in on Taylor Hall everyday. He's not on the market. Not without you giving us Malkin in return. I know you think a whole bunch of crappy assets added up are gonna get you him but that's not the way things work.
- Ihatebrianburke

Why do you Edmonton fans keep acting like the Taylor Hall possibly being traded rumors started here at Hockeybuzz. Ryan took that information from Pierre Lebrun, so not sure why you are angry at Ryan for taking rumors generated elsewhere and playing along for a "well what if" scenario. Grow up Peter Pan.

Coincidentally, among the 5 million posts yesterday, an Avs fan and I agreed on a ROR deal that included Harrington. We may see them go head to head tonight.

I differ from most opinions here on ROR. I think he's worth the salary. Perron is a good fit, for sure. I'd have no issues with him. But with Dupuis' cap relief, Sutter coming off the books, the anticipation of the cap rising, and looking like we will have some players on ELC next season, I think we can handle the salary issue.

Again, if Perron and Tlusty are the answers, then I'm content. But ROR would be awesome here, imo.

- YouMeAndDupuis9

Sutter doesn't come off the books until after next season.

Malkin for hall? Here take Letang and sutter too. Why not give you three first rounders too. Hall is not coming to Pittsburgh

If I'm getting a veteran rental forward from NJ, it's going to be Michael Ryder.
