Only real attractive top 9/6 tweener would be Sutter. Hard to pass on ROR but I don't think I'd do Sutter and Harrington for him. He's absolutely worth it but the term isn't there and he's most likely taking off to the highest bidder
- dbell646

With the way Sutter has been playing right now, hes looking more like a solid 2C. Tough to give up a guy liek that who can move up into the Top 6 if injury bug hits

If I'm getting a veteran rental forward from NJ, it's going to be Michael Ryder.
- rival22

I always hated him because he uses a Y in his name.

Yea maybe bennett if he were healthy all we really have outside of that is Spaling I'm sure that's a pass from Colorado as he's barely a top 9 player

We're not moving Taylor Hall period so the whole thing is pointless.
- Ihatebrianburke

Yes it is... Although Pittsburgh probably doesn't have the right pieces, they should consider anything. With the caveat that I don't allow the current management to make that deal.

He won't be moved here, that's for sure.

What would you do for perron?

- znagle

We need Perron's feistiness. It's something severely lacking on this team. If anyone goes I'd want it to be Eberle

Bennett would be a nice pick up, young, size, and a line of Him, Mitchell, and McGinn would be pretty solid as your 3rd. Just would be tough to lose ROR without getting 1 really established player.

Eberle is a nice player. You'd prefer to trade Eberle over Yak?

So what is the asking price on Yak?
- usethe1-2-2

I don't think we can trade him right now cause his value is too low right now. Lost his confidence under Eakins. I expect him to slowly get that back with Nelson coaching now.

So... I don't hate the idea of getting a big name player to go on Crosby's wing. I do dislike the idea of moving Kunitz AWAY from Malkin.

Crosby has Horny, and an empty spot... get Crosby a new winger.

Malkin has Kunitz, and "Comeau"... I still consider Comeau a gamble to keep it up at the pace he is doing, however, Malkin has had a lot LESS success with new linemates than Crosby. Let him keep Kunitz no matter what.

You act like your not aware of how embarrassingly bad your team is. Im not trying to be a jerk but when the Pens were absolutely awful, I wasn't sad if we had to get rid of Rene Corbet because he was feisty.... and I put feistiness right up there with puck control and skating as most essential skills of a hockey player.

I agree. We are just in a bad spot when it comes to moving forwards. I'm actually changing my opinion a bit. I'm picturing ROR just hounding people up and down the ice in the playoffs.

That's amazing to me. Maybe I don't watch enough Oilers games. I'm guessing Eberle is soft?

Hes crazy competitive, heart on his sleeve kind of guy. The picture of him after the Avs lost in the 1st round, he was devastated. I dont want to trade him since he really is well rounded top 6 player. But if they dont move him, they will never fix that D Core and risk losing him for nothing walking as a UFA is they have another losing season

Yes because they're at all the same type of player. Perron led our team in goals last year and had 68 points.

Quite soft. Yak plays the body. Yakupov has to learn to hit the net more but his overall game took leaps and bounds this year. The whole team has played bad. A lot of people ignore the type of linemates he's had this year (Arcobello, Schultz, Draisaitl, Pouliot) are his most common linemates.

That's understandable but what im saying is, teams sometimes have to unload everyone; and to me it looks like that's the point the Oilers are at right now.
