Yes because they're at all the same type of player. Perron led our team in goals last year and had 68 points. - Ihatebrianburke
Perron had 57 points last year (career high) and only has hit 50 points twice in his career and is currently on pace for 40 points.... He has never hit 60 |

Don't think we'd be interested then. It will be interesting to watch what you guys decide to do. Good luck - dbell646
It will be interesting. I think we're in for a lot more sucking around here. Heck Eakins in his day after firing speech was still preaching patience with our young players and not to make any knee jerk reactions. Fans are fed up and don't wanna hear that though |

Well keep playing the way you are now and one hole will be filled with one of the top 2 picks. I hope they get it figured out. I'll say this they have some loyal fans |

I honestly don't think we'll be top 2 at the end of the year. And if we did I'd still rather trade the pick for a stud on the back end |

We may not be. But teams won't trade us a player unless they know what that pick is. And if it ends up being 1 or 2, we will want a ransom for it and I don't think teams will pay it.
If we end up with McEichel, we build around them. I'd start moving Eberle, Schultz to start. Test the market on Hall maybe but he has to bring in an excellent dman or centre. |

Sutter doesn't come off the books until after next season. - ScienceJesus
No I meant because Sutter was included in the deal for ROR.
It was ROR ($1M retained) and Talbot for Sutter and Harrington |

Goligoski wasn't that good first few years with the stars. Last year was a pretty good year offensively, but his defense isn't top pair defenseman worthy. He looked really good in PIT, I was pretty much saying Despres wouldn't look too good in EDM until they figure it out (like dallas did) and his stock would be at it's highest with the pens and all the hype now rather than with EDM next year. We can all agree they aren't going anywhere for a while... - znagle
I disagree, his first full year in Dallas he put up some decent n umbers, 9 goals, 21 assists in 71 games, only 16 PIM, 93 blocked shots and has been averaged around 22 minutes a game since he's been there... I think Dallas as a team wasn't very good in Gogo's first few years there, but to say he wasn't good, I believe is incorrect. I had asked some Dallas fans at the beginning of the season what their opinion on Goligoski was after the trade and they seemed extremely pleased with it. |

Yep Eberle and Shultz can suck my balls!!! |

I like that. You just got yourself a Sutter and a harrington. Pick them up at the airport - dbell646

Would post the lines from this morning skate but every single time the game time lines have been way different, so no point.
But FWIW, 71-87-72 are the top line.

Gesh pretty soon we will be bringing Vokoun out of retirement. Zatkoff better stay away from Consol.
Just saw Fleury doesn't have them. Phew |

I feel bad Vokoun retired the day he did... what was it, 2 days later Ben Bishop gets hurt? Pretty sure Vokoun was #2 on the veteran goaltenders to sign if you starter got hurt after Brodeur. |

Did he play in any games after he was healthy to play again? I don't think he did. Surprised no team gave him a tryout. |

Living in Colorado, I definitely think the Avs are sellers, but it's much more likely they'll try to unload Briere around the playoffs (someone will be bamboozled by the "clutch" player sale). I agree that Tangauy will be gone too. Slightly harder because of the additional year on his contract, but in watching him this year, he's worth the price.
Iginla would be next, but his contract would be very hard to swallow for most playoff teams.
The Avs seem to have fallen for the "we need veterans with strong locker room presence" delusion. Maybe Brad Stuart was a stretch but at least he was defense where they need it most.
I believe that name Varlomov is Russian for anchor. Maybe we'll get another summer of buy-outs magically added to the existing CBA this summer. That'd be a great Christmas present for some. |

There is nothing wrong with Varly, the made a mistake signing Berra to back up bc Pickard has been really stellar since his call up. But Varly has had a rough go hurting his groin during offseason training and has had the chance to play a meaningful string of games before he has to go back on the IR.
Briere will go somewhere for a 4th/5th round pick. Tangs wont be going anywhere, but Iggy probably will by next seasons deadline if the team doesnt show any signs of improvement next season.
I wouldnt say Sellers but they will be active at the deadline trying to open up roster spots for next season. So you might see guys like McLeod, Talbot, Holden being shipped out for Pennies on the dollar or potetnially bought out

If ROR had another 5 years left at 6 mil per year, I would be very intrigued. That versatility would be great, especially if sid or geno went down with an injury. His defensive game would probably make malkin much better, and you have the option of throwing ROR at center of malkin is struggling on draws that night. I believe he is a good PKer too. The problem with him is what Ryan said about is contract ending in a year and a half. Honestly, a deal involving sutter wouldn't be too bad considering sutter is probably gone shortly as well.
Sutter, pouliot, 1st would be the most I'd be willing to give up, even then I cringe a little bit. |

I would gladly give you a 4th or 5th round pick for Danny Briere.

Add ROR's wife to Letang's and Comeau's hot blonde wives.
Forget the players, keep trading for hot wives... |
