Pittsburgh would have a very poor showing against the Habs, the Lightning, the Bruins, the Rangers, and the Red Wings. Pittsburgh won't have Ottawa to defeat this season. Maybe Pittsburgh could beat Toronto if MAF averages a .905%. Pittsburgh would certainly lose to the Islanders.

What's all this about Greek words and erections?

- Johnny Wrath

I disagree, the Pens would do fine against the Habs and TB. What has Carey Price ever won in the playoffs? In fact he's under .500 @ 17-21. And I don't care about the past Olympics. A potted plant standing in front on that team would have won the gold. Bishop never has even been in a playoff game so what do we know about him.

The Bruins, Rask is not having a Rask type year so far and that also includes the whole Boston team. Detroit and Rangers would be tough but not unbeatable. The Islanders, sorry, Bossy, Trottier, Potvin and Billy Smith aren't playing for them so they are not unbeatable either.

Guess what I'm saying is, everyone of those series would be difficult but not like we wouldn't have any chance of winning.

Remember too, this roster isn't close to being the one that will be playing in April.

Is this the procedure to permanently eliminate erections?

I have actually heard that anyone in the history of the world that has used that word has never properly used one anyways.....

- nbartley9

How long has he been waiting to work that word into a post

The east is a crapshoot... There are probably 5-6 teams who could legitimately make it out of the conference at this point. Obviously with injuries and trades, a lot could happen, but to say that the Pens aren't in the top 2 or 3 as of today is asinine.

The NHL playoffs are about two things: matchups and momentum. We have no way of knowing about those two things in December.

Exactly. The biggest change this team needed was the coach. It's not a coincidence that Letang is returning to form and MAF is looking really good again. Bylsma's system was crap. It was blatantly exposed every spring.

Still.... They need to get healthy and add one or two pieces, but I see no reason they can't make it out of the east.

Can't wait to see Harrington tonight.

i ask this question:

if we were to win a cup and that made martin and erhoff wanna stay, would you think about keepin them and moving some d prospects?

i personally would try and retain at least one of them and i am leaning towards erhoff.

scuderi for hall straight up. i think thats legit

I would entertain keeping Ehrhoff, but I'll pass on Martin. I love Paul Martin, but at 34, and probably looking for something like Orpik money/term, I'll pass.

I'm leaning towards Hoff too. Martin can't afford to lose a step and at his age that's a possibility.

No. Winning the Stanley Cup would only make them more expensive, for one. There are simply too many defenders waiting on their leave in the system - even if one or two are traded away before next July.

Martin has already earned 6 mil per year, or more, or a LONG term deal, hes just priced out of our team no matter this season. The reason we like ehrhoff, is because its fairly reasonable he is going to resign and stay at about 4 mil. He has that buyout money, he wants some cups.
