Maybe adding Franson to Gardiner, but even then I'm not convinced.

It's not like we're talking about a 32yr old premier winger. Hall is 22 and already one of, if not the best, LW in the entire league. Rielly should be untouchable in nearly any trade, but this would be one of of the rare ones that you would have to strongly consider moving him.

Frankly, if the Leafs are going to pony up a huge package (...heh) I think they'd be better served trying to find a center.

I wouldn't disagree, but that's probably the ballpark were looking at from an Oilers perspective. If a trade like that went through, look for the Oulers to flip some of those assets to address other needs.
