Close would be Kadri, Gardiner ,Nylander and the 1st or Khadri , Rielly and Nylander. - Jeropotato
If Toronto did this, it wouldn't be good. Bad trade for them. |

Well Anderson at 33 is 10x better than those sack of sh!ts they have now. And he can give you a few more solid years to say the least. - BodyCheckRadio
What difference does it make if the rest of the team is a raging garbage fire? You could have Lundqvist on the team and they would still blow. Adding old veterans to a young rebuilding team is absolutely pointless. |

Having some veterans is nice though to learn them. |

That's completely insane. Kadri and Rielly alone is overpayment but at least realistic. Get off the glue bud. |

I can understand the value you put on reilly or nylander etc.
but just think of it like this;
if hes expendable to you guys, we probably don't want him for anything of serious value.
regardless of the value you might believe they carry, we are not interested in franson, or lupul or gardiner in a deal for taylor hall.
maybe as throw ins after uve started with someone u don't wanna trade like jvr or reilly etc.
make sense?
end of the day, I don't think theres a deal to be made between the two teams outside of phaneuf.
and hall aint goin for him either. |

Agreed.
I like Taylor Hall, I would love to have him on my team. Currently he is not what Toronto needs.
Edmonton would want a boatload for him, and rightfully so. Their needs are similar to Toronto's needs. Why would Toronto trade from a position of weakness? I think Edmonton could get a better package elsewhere. |

Franson is a pending UFA, no way he re-signs in Edmonton so yes, makes no sense. Lupul has a NTC, won't waive for Edmonton (no one will waive for Edm). Gardiner isn't a fit for Edm. JVR and Hall have similar value, that's a sideways move. Sad to say but Edmonton could use Phaneuf, also sadder to say Edmonton isn't in a position of strength to demand ludicrous packages. |

Seguin is better than Hall any day of the week, and is a player you build around. The Bruins were totally in the wrong for letting a player of his talent go because he was "immature". Now they are in a position where they are trying to find a player of his caliber again and will most likely have to over pay. However, the return Hall gets won't eclipse Seguins. At least it shouldnt, anyway.
Sorry for ranting, just need to point out some things. |

I certainly had different reasons than ufa or ntc's why I don't want those players for hall. but either way, same result.
u can keep them. we'll keep taylor hall.

If Edmonton is going to keep the first / second pick. They need to move an asset that will yield a sizeable return. I believe they should trade their pick. Example: From Toronto they could possibly get either Franson, Phaneuf or Gardiner to help out their defensive woes. James Reimer to help solve their goaltending issue. Kadri to help out in center. Lupul. And a draft pick back. Edmonton has to lose some salary, so you could force the trade partner to take back salary. Realistically, will Connor McDavid have the same impact as adding the above, or a similar package from another team? |

why is that?
his ppg has been behind taylor up until this year.
still pretty much identical.
is he FAR better defensively?
a far better skater?
what does he do that's so much better?
or is it just because hes outstripping him thus far this year?
and in that case, you would've said hall every year until now???...seems abit fickle if u ask me.
people love throwing definitive statements like this around...
and remember, bruins wanted seguin out. they went looking for a trade for him.
while the hall rumours are made up by dreger. we pretty much know this through his wording, and then Eakins response when asked.
they get a slam dunk return, or they dont trade him. simple as that.
all the "oilers need to trade" nonsense in the world isn't gonna force them into taking less than the value they want for their franchise player and one of the best wingers in the game |

Seguin is a center, Hall is a winger. If you produce at the same level, you give it to the center every time.

I am being realistic. Oilers wouldn't accept a Rielly and Kadri deal all e, there would be too many better offers to choose from. |

so u gave it to hall every year before this one?
and now u give it to seguin cause hes a center and destroying this year? (not winning much mind you)
and to be completely fair, im just too lazy to do the math. but halls ppg might still be better....
anyways, I don't wanna debate your contention here too much. but I think its got some holes..... |

no, he wants to give us gardiner and franson.
and because we're a bad team, we should be accepting lesser value or something
instead of banging our heads against a wall and debating with some of the leaf fans, lets just leave it at;
u guys keep gardiner and whoever and we'll keep worthless taylor hall

I thought Kadri and Gardiner/Franson was the going rate for whatever PPG player,/#1 Dman/ All Star rumoured to be available? |
