I think the Flyers are going to trade 1-2 defenseman at or before this year's TDL.
Teams in the playoffs need depth on D to make a long run.
The scouts are probably looking at guys like Schultz, Grossmann, and LSchenn who won't cost too much to acquire, and maybe even Coburn who would cost more.
Because of their contracts I think it is less likely Amac or Streit gets moved and I doubt the Flyers are interested in moving Streit right now. But you never know. - Marc D
I'd be open to moving any of them.
Flyers should be in the business of gathering assets like draft picks and prospects. No defenseman should be off the board |

He probably won't go in the top 10 or 1st round (at the moment) |

McDavid also plays LW - ob18
A lot of the younger players seem to be more versatile in switching from center to wing. More teams are easing them into more responsiblity these days. When McKinnon came in he started on the wing and still plays some wing. I am sure Eichel and McDavid could play wing.

When McDavid and Strome happen to play on the same line it's Strome who takes the draws |

I don't think so. I don't think he gets that much either. I'm thinking around $7.5m per season max. |

No, they just can't afford to let legit top line talent walk. Not this team.

They wouldn't be letting him walk, they'd probably get a top prospect and more for him in a trade. Don't think they should trade him though. |

But what if he won't sign that deal? You're put in a position where you either overpay or risk losing him for nothing.
I'm just saying, a guys prime years are his 25-29 years. The Flyers will be paying a lot for two guys who will be hitting their late 20s early 30s when they get competitive again.
Just trying to look at things from a different perspective. Not saying it's the right thing to do but I think it's a little more complicated than let's just sign him to a huge deal |

I'd sell high on him before allocating that amount of the budget... as much as I love him.
(unless... they drastically reduce payroll somehow between now and then) |

I'm sure they'd listen to all offers but I can't see Amac getting traded because of his deal and I think they'd have to be blown away to deal Streit because right now he is irreplaceable for them. I also think they won't trade Coburn for less then a late round 1st (maybe a 2016 1st?).
But I do think one or two will be moved this year. |
