As do a lot of Flyer fans. Rightfully so. The guy has come in and been nothing but good for this team, and at times, he's played as well as any goalie in the league for us.

His ES Save % this season is .936, which is 4th in the NHL among goalies with 20 or more starts. He's been one of their best players since joining the team.

He's been the most consistent Flyer since his arrival.

Yes, I'm including G.

It definitely sucks. Hopefully it's a minor issue and he comes back strong. For all the issues he had in Columbus, he's been great for us. Great reclamation story.

It's going to be rough without him. Maybe the team will play better knowing they can't bank on Mason bailing them out.

Maybe they don't play better and go 0-8 on the road trip

Damn, just watched that vid of Mase.

Something tells me two games could turn into a whole lot more. I know back spasms were suspected but that almost looks like he tore something. He could barely move as he was being helped off the ice.

With his last few starts Emery's lateral movement looked worse than it had in the past. The D men are really going to need to clear the porch for him. Something they've been terrible at all year...

The times I have had back spasms, I thought I had been stabbed. It can be brutally painful and it just saps your ability to move.

I'm more concerned about long term impact on his health than short term missed time. Hopefully it's just a pinched nerve or something that will heal and never be an issue in the future

he's faking it. just like pelle faked his knee injury in the 85 final to get out of losing the cup to edmonton.
