Was thinking if they can pick up a late first or early 2nd I wouldn't mind taking a goalie if there is considerable talent at the position available. - hereticpride
That makes total sense -- I'm not as wired into prospects as I once was, but if there was someone out there of that pedigree, I'd have no issues with them pulling the trigger and taking one fairly early, if they did snag a pick |

Do you really believe that they just don't follow the team and know nothing of what is going on around the league?
I think they do it just to troll us and see if we'll rise to the bait and start angrily throwing statistics at them.
This is why I love Bill's response to the turd at the top of the thread. Brilliance. - Doc_Sarcasm
Actually, I do think there is a lot of laziness, with respect to opinions on players that one doesn't follow regularly.
And you are right: The troll factor is high. I guess I shouldn't discount that because I am a terrible troll. Stoopid Catholic guilt.
But I do legitimately think there is a lot of lazy writers who write about the Flyers' goaltending woes because they've been writing that poop for years and others (message board lizards, etc) just parrot what they read. |

I won't even deny, as I look at my John LeClair figure on my desk, that I would want one.

Buccigross has been tweeting out pictures of people's hockey oriented Christmas ornaments. I saw a Jagr one from his Penguin days and thought "I'd love to have a Giroux ornament like that".
And then I saw evidence of the existence of such an ornament and yet, could not buy one.
I see things like this, and it pisses me off all over again when family and friends tell me I'm tough to buy gifts for. FIND ME THIS COT DAMN GIROUX ORNAMENT YOU LAZY BASTARDS!

Can't blame Carle, that was an awful bit of goaltending |

It was, but Carle really played it poorly as well.
I see TB is on their way to lose for the fifth time in the last six games. |

Yeah. Nabakov might be on his last legs...
Do you think Zepp will play Sunday night? |

Berube's show that he'll play a goalie in back to backs without worry...if Emery does well vs the Leafs, I'd expect him vs the Jets too |

Has either Mason or Emery played both games of a back to back this year? I can't remember.
As long as this injury doesn't have a long term effect on Mason's career, it's not a big deal if he has to miss a month or more. Better for the Flyers draft pick. |

I've got a feeling if the Flyers drop both the TO and Peg games, Zepp will get a shot against Minny. If not, then against Arizona.
All pending, of course, if Mason is still out. |

If Zepp gets anything I think it will be AZ. Then again You cant run Emery into the ground.
Given whatever the severity of the injury may be I wouldn't put it past Hexy to find a guy on waivers or an unsigned guy to pick up. Not for the Flyers, but if the Flyers call up Zepp for any prolonged period of time it puts the Phantoms in a tougher situation than they need to be. |

Very possible. If they lose vs Toronto, I'd toss Zepp in vs the Jets. |

Sam (Bizzaro Holmgren) Hinkie trades for yet another 2nd round pick.
By my count, that makes 18. |

In the NBA they are trade pieces and not held on to like they are gold/

I love his plan. Get the picks now because the team will soon be among the elite teams in the NBA and still have assembled some chips. |

Yep, a 31-35 or so pick is more valuable than a 26-30 because no guaranteed contract required. |
