Just throwing this out there if we are looking at Mason out long term......Matt Hackett.

Not saying he will even be on the team, but he could play himself on. Basically, if we are going to move ANY assets what so ever in ANY deal to bring in a goalie, at least make it a guy that could theoretically replace Emery next season.

Adding more youth to the position in the organization; kid has played well at the NHL level when he has played.

I saw today that St. Louis may consider trading TJ Oshie. If Mason comes back and the Flyers are still in it I would love Hexy to make a run at him. He's something this team needs more of. Someone that plays all out and brings energy along with skill. Also having him for shootouts wouldn't be too bad either. I have no idea what the Blues would want in return or the asking price but he should be someone Hextall should look at if made available

"Still in it"?
They are nowhere close to being in it.

I would be all for pursuing Oshie. But I'm not paying deadline prices to do so. Thats a move for the off season.

Not a fan of the team, but this made me chuckle. During tonight's game against BOS.

Stolarz with a 32 save shutout on friday night against Hershey where the Phantoms basically got outshot 2 to 1. In 11 games, he's now put up a 2.33 GAA avg, and a .934 SV% with two shutouts... and this is while he's still "raw", future stud!

He received adult stem cells too, not sure why the ban on that, seems dumb, glad he pulled through.

At this rate, he will have earned himself a contract by the end of the season. Can we put Pronger on this same treatment?

Joking aside, great news for Mr. Hockey!
