Early Genesis was fantastic, especially with Peter Gabriel. It's sad that some of these legends are getting older. - mhp

Never liked Zeppelin or Rush... Maybe a song or two but that was it. - jochfr
So many bands that played different types and had different styles. I can't get into the rock of today. Classic rock all the way.

Don't the Ducks need D help? Maybe Strachan?
edit- just looked at Rakell's stats, is he a bust? - mhp
solid 2 way player with upside
another change of scenery type player IMO
give him 15 minutes a game and watch him turn into a 20 goal 30 helper player |

Even though I was born a decade too late, I enjoy the discussion today

Rakell will be a good one, they won't just give him away. |

I seem to adjust to the times... My music tastes evolve over the years.
Although I have been stuck on Electronic for 15 years or so. I still listen to a lot of classic rock though.

It will probably take a Hodgson-Kassian type deal, otherwise my guess is he's a part of a larger package to land a big name.
Edit: Benoit and a 2nd for Rakell strikes me as the kind of move that gets you blacklisted from any future gm jobs |

A few thoughts while wondering whatever happened to Dennis Persson.
I watched the replay of the Amerks game last night against Adirondack. Ruhwedel had his struggles in the d zone, didn't handle the puck or play very well, esp in the 1st. McCabe also had his struggles early but played much better at later points in the game. Three D'Amigo isn't very good, career ahl'er.
Now the good stuff. Armia totally dominated the game, best player on the ice. He should have had 3 goals in the game and he must have had 5-6 scoring chances. If he isn't our 1RW in a few years, I'll be shocked. His nifty stick handling and finding open areas is outstanding. Grigorenko had another solid game himself, those two are terrific together.
I would think if the Sabres make a multi player trade and include a prospect, I would think Larsson or Schaller could be moved. - mhp

why, players sign 1 year deals and get moved at deadlines
Rakell is one of those players I was expecting a breakout season from, like smith last year for the bruins
although smith was an added piece for a bigger name, like you mentioned |

IMO the old genesis trumps anything they have ever done with collins as the lead
I do love the pre abacab stuff with phil very much though |

I didn't mind the Genesis stuff with Collins. They went more commercial when Gabriel left and Phil came on board. |

Benoit will probably be moved (or at least they'll try) but I don't think anaheim would move rakell in a deal like that. Still only 21, breakout season could come next year (perhaps on a different team).
