I wouldn't touch RG3. He's terrible. Kaep may be able to be had for a reasonable amount.
I would pay a lot for Ryan. In Chip's offense, he'd be great. - PhillySportsGuy
You think they can get him out of Ottawa? I heard he really wants to play for Philly. |

I just get annoyed with Couturier. Don't know what it is, I know he is good and all that.
He just rubs me the wrong way. Very vanilla. - flyer_nutter
i dont get annoyed but im definitely underwhelmed. due to the needs on the blueline i think he should be shopped even if that makes me a target for accusations of performing felatio on snider |

Are you saying he needs to play with Simmonds to be effective? - PhillySportsGuy
Im saying he needs to play more like Simmonds to be effective. I don't despise him and see his value.
Offensively though, just very meh. Young and growing, yeah yeah. I've female doged more about him going against big competition too much and stunting his offensive growth more than anything.
But (frank) give me some flash man. Physically. With a move. Something. Nitpicking obviously. Not really. |

Ha! Couturier's a good player, man -- no way to know for sure, but I do believe that would be one move this fanbase would truly regret

Who? Manning is inconsistent, Roethlisberger is overrated, Kaepernick is mediocre...Trent Dilfer was barely a starter for most of his career. Johnson had some big numbers - Jsaquella
I want an overrated QB who throws for multiple 500-yard games, wins 2 Super Bowls, and is next to impossible to sack despite not having a semblance of an offensive line. |

so trading for a franchise defenseman, a much more important asset, would be regrettable...? |

It's frustrating, because this league is so jacked up right now. You can't get what you need without sucking.
They need another winger to get Umberger out of the Top 9, and they really need two of these young defensemen to develop and be difference makers
It can't take five years. Two of these defenders have to be ready to rock in three years. They have got to be - AllInForFlyers
yeah. trades are so (frank)ing tough to accomplish anymore, its mind boggling. i really like what i see/read about the last pick, sanheim. but its hard to think hes not closer to that 4/5 year range than it is to the 2/3 year range. i think next year ghost is going to get the chance to show what he can do.
but yeah, its very hard to get what you need in this league anymore. |

Win at all cost, even if that means stunting a kids growth. No poop they did continuously playing him against the best players of other teams.
With his best consistent winger being Read. Whoopy (frank)ing doo.
He's aight, but a center imho should be able to propel his line. I get the notion about surrounding yourself with other good players but someone has to initiate. I don't think he is good enough offensively to be a future #2 C.
Spank me. |

No -- point taken. If you can get that kind of guy, under the age of 28, yeah, you'd have to really look at that, no matter who it costs that isn't Giroux or Voracek

i used to hate ben. thought he was so overrated. but he is a much better player, who is infinitely more valuable to his team now, than when he was when they were actually winning superbowls

Basically, if a player goes out and the good he does is simply negate the other team's players is it really that productive?
That's a borderline definition of a warm body. If you shut down the other team's best, you should be able to impose your will physically or get some chances yourself. Not just skate off and be happy they didn't put one behind your goalkeep. |
