yeah. he looks like a good one. but i dont know if a safety is as pressing of a need.
i meant guys that are already in the NFL that you would potentially look at via trade. a reclamation project already better than foles could be hard to think of/acquire. but man, if you could hit on a QB, thats huge. |

any potential guys youd have your eye on via trade? - stayinthefnnet
I'd look at teams that have struggled and will likely have a new coaching staff coming in. Guys like Cam Newton, Matt Ryan or Kaepernick. We're talking multiple first round picks in some cases. I'd rather make that commitment to a more proven player than trade up into the top 2 to get an unproven player. |

Did you watch that secondary he'd be a perfect compliment to Jenkins. |

Need one safety, but it's down the list.
Definitely need corners. Probably an inside LB. Safety.
Offense, really just needs a QB & a WR to play opposite Maclin. Even if they can't find a QB in this draft, Foles might be OK behind a healthy line. The times he struggled were largely behind the back up linemen. |

He is NFL ready.........I also like Jaelen Strong, PJ Williams, Ifo EkpreOlomu (even with the knee injury), Trae Waynes
I'd also consider an offensive lineman.

Foles isn't ideal, but you can win with him.
I think it's been proven what the ceiling is with that secondary.

Yeah, but I wouldn't spend a first rounder on a safety unless he's a freak like Earl Thomas.
Tbh, I think the top 90 in the NFL draft is pretty evenly dispersed. I would be thrilled if they traded down and collected picks. |

I bet they take Olomu in the 2nd round. He'll likely start next season on IR though. He and Gurley could be steals if you can get them in the 2nd round. Both or top 20 talents
I would consider an Olineman as well, but I'd prefer a guard later in the draft |

For ILB I'd go Paul Dawson of TCU only player in the country with 100 plus tackles 5 sacks & 4 int's |

i think the team could win with foles, if everything else around him was improved, at least a bit in some areas (wr) and heavily in others (Cb)
if the team is going to remain static in many ways, i dont know if foles will be good enough to basically put them on his back and outscore the opposition every game. i dont know. its a hard decision to make on foles.
wr should be somewhat easier to address. they dont need a superstar. maclin has shown his worth. they would benefit from going out and getting someone to emmanuel sanders. |

Well, whats the point in going after mediocre guys like a Cutler. They already have a mediocre guy in Foles. |

I think he will. He may not even play next season. I can't recall the last player the be drafted in the first round with the team knowing he likely won't play until, at least, the midway point of the first year. |

Well, right now, is it more important to find The Quarterback, or fill the holes and built a serious contending team? Right now, they're a good team with holes. If they go after that franchise QB now, they will be an OK team with holes. Easier to find a couple corners, a decent LB and WR and see if Foles can be more like last year's Foles with more weapons and a healthy line. |

How's everybody feeling about tonight's game?
No matter what happens going forward, because the playoff math is just all (frank)ed up -- just gotta take a deep breath and admit some harsh truths, there -- but there have been some bright spots in the last couple of weeks, most notably Sean Couturier.
He's got nine points in nine games in December -- yeah. That's pretty much Beast Mode. I have said this before, but if you just give the guy two wingers, there's an absolute beast inside. Ever since Matt Read woke up and even with carrying a corpse (though, to be fair, Umberger is playing at a replacement level now), Couturier's looked like a different player.
Still the same problems on defense that are going to need to be addressed, and I just can't bear the thought of Steve Mason being troubled by his back, going forward.
But even with the playoffs a real long shot, now, it's nice to see a few things going well -- Michael Raffl is a legit NHL Top 9 player, Scott Laughton looks better each week, if not each game, and even though Brayden Schenn is still streaky, he's been good enough on the wing where I don't worry about him too often. |

true. im not a fan of kap or rg3.
i really like matt ryan, although admittedly he really hasnt shown the ability to win those big games either. i still just have a hard time imagining any of the guys being acquirable though, other than either kaepernick or rg3. |

And who knows, maybe Foles had simple growing pains this season. If he can adjust, who knows? |
