Come on. Settle down. If halak got hurt from playing a back to back we are in a helluva alot of trouble and its not bcs of capuano (though he sucks). Its bcs halak is pretty mich useless if thats all it takes. - Cptmjl

If you do play hockey, most injuries like strains, pulls etc occur as a result of Fatigue. Why play Halak back to back if you could have played Johnson instead one of those nights.
Why have a back up if you not going to use him. Johnson already has no confidence, so you wait to put him in again a big game like Montreal instead of playing him again Tampa back up? - Spartiarti
were detroit and tampa not big game?? it is what it is..i have no issues with halak playing both games over the weekend, and i have no problem with halak getting rest tonight. if johnson plays great then maybe he turns a corner..if he lays an egg maybe he is closer the way out |

dumb ass who played two games in a row that they won and he was barely tested in either... COME ON... look at this team's record..cappy has zero chance with this fanbase...they could win the god damn cup and lose the home opener and people will call for his head. - Dan Petriw
You really shouldn't lump in the entire fan base in with the chronic complainers |

He faced 19 shots on Friday & 22 on Sat.
How many games last year did our goalies see 40+ shots in a game? (too many)
If Johnson gets off to a shaky start, he'd better get pulled. Otherwise, we know this is more than just a maintenance day for Halak as we're playing one of the top teams in the conference. Breaking from common sense, as Cappy justified Halak back to back because he's on his best winning streak so far this season. |

gotta love the after-the-fact complaining; its amazing how everything is so obvious once the results are in front of you. remind me, did you complain on saturday night that halak was starting?
also....speaking of facts, what did he injure? |

Youre more prone to injury of course but Both games werent exactly tough ones for him and if he wants to be a number one there are times hes going to play back to backs. Thats how it is especially with johnson being a pile of garbage. Ill be the first one to bash capuano believe me but not in this situation imo. We have had a pretty spaced schedule minus that back to back. I cant fault him for over working halak. Snow needs to address our back up situation if johnson craps the bed again but I cant fault capuano for going with halak. |

My guess is if it was a playoff game Halak would be playing. It might just be soreness or something minor and with them not playing until Saturday they could just be playing it safe. No way is it just a day off when they don't play again until Saturday |

Happy to be wrong on Cappy if we win a cup. In fact im happy to apologize to him personally if that happens.
the Reality is what is point of getting back to back wins with halak if now halak is hurt and we might have to ride Johnson now.
Why not just pull a Mr Burns move from the SIMPSONS and Sub out Boychuk in favor of Brian Strait as he has fresher legs. |

Vukota, I agree with you. its most likely a mild tweek. No sense is risking a bigger injury. |

He HAS been getting hit in the mask/cage somewhat regularly, the last few games. Only thing I can think of. |

you are right but a large part of this fanbase can not have a rational discussion about this coach |

don't float any ideas like that....they might make their way to Cappy's ears before gametime. |

Meh. We have seen them do screwy things in those situations before |

The thing is I dont even remember this being a topic so I dont understand who is having trouble admitting?
Also. What trend continuing? Us winning and you winning? That doesnt help you gain any ground on us. Having a hard time understanding this? - Cptmjl
It does with the games in hand. At that point it will be a four point difference. From there it is a good race; sorry for the confusing text in the earlier posts. |
|
|
|
His wording is a bit off - Cptmjl
It really wasn't off. If the Rangers continue to win, with all things equal, the gap is closed to four points. |
