Well, I’m certainly no Cappy fan, but I don’t blame him for starting Halak back-to-back. Heck, plenty of folks here supported that when I brought it up for discussion before the back-to-back games.

It’s not like Cappy’s been giving Halak an unreasonable workload, and to be honest, it’s not like Johnson has been making a great case (or any kind of case) for getting more starts with the way he’s played.

All that said, I really hope the Isles are ready to bring the offense tonight…

jesus...Halak has played every game in December save for one Chad Johnson start. Johnson gets the last start before the short Christmas break and everyone is screaming about it? Halak is now going to have a full week off going into Saturday's start against Buffalo. I can't find a reason to have an issue with this.

It does with the games in hand. At that point it will be a four point difference. From there it is a good race; sorry for the confusing text in the earlier posts.

Well yeah if we lose and you win of course but thats not really following the current trend though wuth johnson in net tonight that trend is on the verge of changing

It really wasn't off. If the Rangers continue to win, with all things equal, the gap is closed to four points.
- MidnightMarauder

Im referring to the admitting part. Nobody was even discussing this so there really wasnt anything to admit.

I think I would rather see the Rangers win tonight in regulation

The only reason I’m unhappy about Johnson starting is that I work with a Habs fan and have a bet for total points on the season. Having him come into the office tomorrow and be happy is going to be like putting a turd in my stocking.

You really shouldn't lump in the entire fan base in with the chronic complainers

Kind of indifferent really. Both the caps and Rangers are playing good and tied in points though the Rangers have had a bit of a cake schedule lately. Should be a good test for them tonight.

Happy to be wrong on Cappy if we win a cup. In fact im happy to apologize to him personally if that happens.

the Reality is what is point of getting back to back wins with halak if now halak is hurt and we might have to ride Johnson now.

Why not just pull a Mr Burns move from the SIMPSONS and Sub out Boychuk in favor of Brian Strait as he has fresher legs.

- Spartiarti

Why play Halak at all.. cause he might get injured in the locker room.

I really hope Johnson can find his game, but until he shows he can stay upright, our of his net and cover his angles he's a loss when we start him. Maybe he'll get it together tonight, but it's hard to see it happening based on how he's played.

Another 5 goals against and Poulin has to be considered as an option.

Cappy is a worse liar than he is a coach. It's a pact
- jmo16

How can you guys still be criticizing Capuano? We're one of the top teams in the league right now. A coach deserves the criticism when the team is losing but, also deserves praise when the team is winning. Get over it. All the experts on hockey panels are praising Jack.

Does that praise include the PK?
