Do you guys think the islanders throw their hat in the ring for a winger for the JT line? or continue to ride with the depth they have right now.
Gerard,
I think Garth Snow has shown he's all in in terms of plugging holes this season. Still a bit early to say who might be available other than Chris Stewart although I am intrigued by the notion that the Blues might be open to moving T.J. Oshie. Have to admit Oshie would look pretty good in an Islander jersey although the Bruins might have something to say about that. - Scott Burnside
Thoughts on that?
I think Oshie would cost way to much to get, plus idk why the Blues would want to move him. - Bags502
Oshie's having an off year but would be lethal alongside JT and KO |

Have u watched any Blues games? Best way to put is as Oshie is to the Blues as KO is to the Isles.... Not really 1st line W and they have some kids that might be ready soon.... |

My originally post was addressing someone that was bashing Cappy. All i was saying is give Cappy some credit where its due. Then people started commenting on the PK and Cappy sucks as coach because of the PK. The point i was making is yes the PK sucks but, Cappy has done a good job overall in coaching.I'm confident they will improve the PK just like they have in the other areas of the game. Just relax dude, talk about overreacting - dack1972
Take this from a seasoned vet on this board. You'll never get the bashers to change their mind. You could be 100% right in everything you say and it still won't matter. You just enjoy the ride and let them continue to do what they do. Don't even bother you'll just drive yourself insane |

No, I dont have an NHL package... Only NHL Network but I have watched 2 Blues games and went to the 3-goal blown lead game. Oshie looked pretty good against us. 2 goals and 3 assists in those 2.

Snow has done a really nice job of managing the cap and jumping on teams this year with cap issues, I think he's going to continue that trend before the deadline. I'm not sure who he's going to target but I do think we'll like the price. |

I've been a fan of this team since the glory years and I can honestly say I have never heard the building as loud as it was last night. And I'm including playoff games in that statement. What an awesome feeling it was and I can't wait for more. - PeteM
It's a shame you guys are moving to Brooklyn Should of just built a new arena on the Island |

Lot of good talent on that team. Oshie could be a cap casualty. |

Yes he has. I can remember a bunch of us being frustrated with their lack of bringing in better players but he held pat until he thought this team was ready to make that next step and then he started to make things happen. I'm with you I think this years trade deadline will be fun for a change since we should be shopping instead of selling for a change |

Oshie is good but just not consistent enough to warrant 1st line duties when Tarenseko & Shwartz are lighting it up as 3rd liners w/Lehtera...
Both Shwartz and Tarenseko are having another great year again.... |

That's what I just don't comprehend, this is a thread to share opinions whether right or wrong, but some just get frantic if it gets debated on... Silly ppl....
Here are the common denominators....
Cappy stink - despite team winning
PK - sucks
PP - needs improvement
1st line needs to get going
Strait sucks
Bailey is mostly invisible
Johnson needs to correct himself as back-up G
KO - is not a 1st line W - this is mine only ......
RangerDanger - is a closet isles fan
SimpleAss - doesn't watch isle games
I could keep going but I'll stop here......
Oh an Dan does a good job on blogs, just not enough of them.... - Ur Not Me

Gotcha. I really don't have much interest in Oshie unless the price tag is dirt cheap |

Going into the season Strome, Lee and Nelson all were high hopes and question was what line they would play on and how much they would contribute. High hope was Lee would blossom into JT's hoped for winger and enhance his play. Nobody guessed they would be the Numer 1 or 1A line.
Everybody hated how much Cappy was playing the fourth line but eventually they have become solid.
Grabo was a welcome addition but not just his potential scoring but as a speedy skater which puts him in the mold of Franz more than JT.
Which brings us to; this is not just JT's team but really has become Franz's team in terms of offensive style. Appropriately our senior player has become the symbol for this emergence. |
