I think Garth Snow has shown he's all in in terms of plugging holes this season. Still a bit early to say who might be available other than Chris Stewart although I am intrigued by the notion that the Blues might be open to moving T.J. Oshie. Have to admit Oshie would look pretty good in an Islander jersey although the Bruins might have something to say about that. - Scott Burnside

Thoughts on that?

I think Oshie would cost way to much to get, plus idk why the Blues would want to move him.

and halak likely wouldn't have played back to back games. I'm assuming they want Poulin on the bench so they can use a second goalie if they need to. Until I see anything otherwise, that's what I'm going to go with.

Thats definitely not why they brought Poulin up. They just wouldn't. Halak likely tweaked something, they wanted to see how he felt closer to game time, and now he says he doesnt feel like he could play and they called poulin up. He'll rest up over christmas break and be good to go against buffalo or they may even give johnson buffalo to give halak a couple extra days off since buffalo sucks.

If the isles made a trade I think guys like Perron and jiri tlusty would be good to look at, both are cheap. I think Perron would work well he can play LW or rw 3.8 cap hit this year and next so once his contract is up Dal Colle will be ready. He's not playing well right now, but last year scored 28 goals and 29 assists on the oilers second line. Could be a good fit with JT and KO and won't cost Reinhart like eberle would. But if they could get oshie cheap thatd be interesting. Make our shootouts even better
