Johnson is due to outright win a game by himself. Why not tonight? With JT's pulse continuing to come back up I feel good about this game.

shannon hogan's tweet says capuano told her that they wanted Halak to have a full day of rest, which is the reason Poulin was called up.
Smokescreen? Maybe, but I'm thinking if it was even a minor injury they would have just said it was a day to day situation. I think it's just that they want Poulin around in case he's needed rather than having Halak sit on the bench.
I'm going to believe there's no cause for concern.
I do hope if Johnson allows a couple early goals they pull him.
*look at me go with the positive thoughts about Halak. I balanced it with the Johnson comments.

Take this from a seasoned vet on this board. You'll never get the bashers to change their mind. You could be 100% right in everything you say and it still won't matter. You just enjoy the ride and let them continue to do what they do. Don't even bother you'll just drive yourself insane - Vukota

He is certainly capable of it. He was a good backup in Boston and for the Rags so no reason to believe he can't be one here. He has had some dung filled games this year but also a few solid ones. Gotta have a capable backup and anohnson has been one throughout his career. Hopefully just a rough patch right now.
He has to turn it around and with our defense fully healthy, that should help him out.
Need to root for the guy, not much choice and it won't help if fans get on his case at the games or in the media. |

that's the thing I don't get, you don't get the numbers he had in boston just by playing behind a good defense. He has played well in the past, but he looks like he doesn't know where the net is behind him. His balance seems off and his angles are off. It does feel like if he can get it together for a game that he could really settle down.
I just don't understand why he can't get it corrected. The angles are the same he's been playing all his life, I could understand if the reflexes slowed down a bit, but how do you start losing the net behind you so often? Boggles the mind.
Price vs Johnson has all the makings of a blowout loss, so I'm really hoping that it's tonight where he starts to play back to where he was in Boston.

at some point this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see Strait behind the bench in street clothes, handing guys the wrong stick as they come back to the bench after breaking one.
I'm kidding...I think
