I hear you. Hopefully like you said it's just a rest. Play Johnson against Buffalo if they feel they have too.

Figured that. He did play back to back. Big game tomorrow against the nhls most luckiest team. Talk about overrated.

We should be able to crush them

We have our playoff vets in Boychuk and Leddy plus the team did have the 13 run and PITT series. JT has been through the wars with JR hockey. When Grabner gets healthy they have more depth at wing and Boulton is a strong player when healthy. This is not LA which added scoring depth in Richards, Carter and Gaborik at a high price. We need to go with our young offense but a solid available durable vet skater may be the way to go if the price is right.

Anyone who wants to touch the roster is sick in the head.

Let's get to the trade deadline and see what's available. As long as Brian Strait never plays again, I'm fine with our 20 players.

Guy should never touch the ice for us again. No excuse at this point. Donovan is an upgrade over strait. Better off putting a street cone out there in his place.

We’re currently 23-10 BUT, the rangers are 10pts back with games in hand, the caps are getting closer and have a game in hand as well and the wild card teams aren’t that far behind either. A 5-6 game losing streak and we could easily drop out of a playoff position. We’ve had a great start to the year and the team looks good, but Johnson’s play, strait and the health of our defense are all concerning factors. If we lose a couple of defensemen again and/or Halak, we could be in an awful lot of trouble. I’m thrilled with the team overall this year, and I hope we stay healthy and Johnson can start playing at least at an NHL level.

How many teams wouldn't be in trouble if they lost two of their top 6 D-men and starting goalie?

Very true but here is the problem with the NHL... For example last night there were 6 games on the schedule. Out of the 12 teams playing, 10 got points. This is the problem with the league. To much congestion and too many loser points are going out. They need to address it and fix it.
