The thing is, we have guys like Luke Schenn making the same mistakes Byfuglien made last night, providing none of the dynamic offensive ability.
If you're going to have a flawed guy, might as well have a guy with a strength that is elite in some area, rather than a flawed guy who is pretty mediocre when it comes to his strong points. - Jsaquella
If it was possible to remove Streit and acquire Byfuglien to replace Streit, without giving up assets to do so, I'd be all for it. But based on cost to acquire, I'll stick with Streit. |

Vinny, simply, does not have the pedigree that a player like Umberger has.
After all, Vinny never won a Stanley Cup, never won the Maurice Richard trophy, never played in or named captain in an all-star game, never named MVP of the Canadian team that won the World Cup, or played in the Olympics.
Umberger's career not only trumps that, but his play has been head and shoulders over Vinny's this year, statistically speaking of course. - 77rams
It took pretty much close to a full season worth of games before Berube was willing to healthy scratch Lecavalier. Before that he gave him multiple opportunities at Center, tried him at wing with various players, and demoted him to the 4th line before putting him in the press box.

I'm not a huge fan of his. I think some of his antics are a disgrace, that said he would probably be the best dman on the Flyers. - PLindbergh31
Oh I don't think he is a good dman at all but that's me. He just comes across as a real tool. Like he thinks he is the end all of be all or something. I can't quite put a finger on it. |

Well they are running out of teams/venues.
Would you prefer a Bolts/Panthers game, in between periods they can fry an egg on Pierre's chrome dome. |

I keep seeing Yandle's name coming up in rumors. Is this not the dman the flyers need. Not sure of age...only sure that he plays a ton of minutes on a mediocre team; puts up points; blocks shots and plays a physical game. I know we value our young guys, but do you mean to tell me we couldn't package up vinny with any one of couturier, schenn, read, laughton or almost anyone else to get who I feel is a top-tier defensemen in the league.
Why we're at it, why not kick the tires on Bieksa? I think if the flyers can make the playoffs as a bottom team, they can surprise teams like Pittsburgh, Montreal, and maybe Tampa... - dmorin
Yandle does not play a physical game, he is the definition of a finesse defenseman. Yandle has registered 10 hits in 32 games. Last season, he had 22 hits in 82 games.

I agree, he's dynamic offensively, and is a physical force, but overall not great defensively.

EDIT: I don't know who for though. That's my guess because he's one of the greatest guitar players of all time and played for like 11 bands. - Giroux_Is_God
I would of guessed Paul McCartney.

I don't bother doing it on my iPhone. Not techy but its one of the new 5 versions and it slows it down.
If he thinks he can get away with shoving continuous autoplay adds, and now the banners on the side down my throat without people doing anything we will see.
Its a fun website sometimes, but he can go (frank) himself. |

Bro, the Wings were last together in 1981. There were 3 separate lineups with the Wings, the last of which disbanded in 1981. I think McCartney has put out 16 studio solo albums.
