There is a strict no autoplay policy for advertisers and has been for some time.

And if you want no advertising at all, you can be a STH and there are no ads. But seeing banner and sidebar ads you don't even click through on seems a small price to pay for a site you don't pay a single penny for.

Agreed...also my CPU demand spikes up frequently and overheats my laptop when on this site (with ads)...also, I suspect I've contracted viruses here, though that could be from er, uh, "other" sites.

use the Contact us link at the bottom and let EO know what is autoplaying so he can follow up. There is not supposed to be autoplay advertising under their agreement with the ad service.
