Other goalies 7-4-1

So is the team actually better off without Mase? I believe this was the logic used by some posters to support the claim that the team is better off without Coburn.

Well Mason has played well indicated by a strong save %, and very little goal support. Coburn on the other hand, hasn't played well.

I especially like the headshot he gave him in that one game. Perfect MattCooke to the head and dropped him like a pro.

Get a load of this draft run...

83 no first round pick
84 no first round pick
85 Glenn Seabrooke
86 Kerry Huffman
87 Darren Rumble
88 Claude Boivin
89 no first round pick

- PLindbergh31

Please don't remind me. The mid to late 80s drafts are the reason they were so lousy in the early 90s

This is pretty easy.... Any team that has Gretzky, Orr, and Howe could be filled out with anyone...

Bucyk, Gretzky, Howe
Orr, Chara
Belfour

Shanahan-Lemieux-Bossy
Orr-Potvin
Dryden

That would be a fun line to watch and Orr and Potvin together on D would just be sick. Plus Dryden in goal, awesome.

The thing with this is, you can't go wrong with any lineup you pick.

Only Flyer on the list is Paul Coffey.

I would take Lindros over Messier and Toews, tbh. Clarke over Toews also.

Like the choices except I'd choose:

Hull - Lemieux - Howe
Orr - LSchenn
Leighton

Only to watch Orr skate with that forward line which would be tremendous.

But seriously:

Hull - Lemieux - Bossy
Orr - Chara
Dryden

We're 5-2-3 this month but these same fans are still calling for McDavid.

The two times Coburn rolled over Mason, I actually believe Mason shouldn't have left his net to begin with. This isn't completely defending Coburn. Coburn has had some good nights and some bad. It would be dumb to ignore his good nights but the two times Coburn ran Mason, I think Mason has to take some blame.

Seriously.. When Zemgus Girgensons has over a million more votes than Giroux, Voracek, Stamkos, Ovechkin ect..

Besides that he currently sits at #128 on the point leaders list.. Its like Rory Fitzpatrick all over again

It's a meaningless, unwatchable game. Might as well have fun with it.
