He really was, but then again that's nothing new for him. He even sounded like he had no clue what he was doing when announcing the no-goals

That sucks. I'm actually going to be busy this winter if they do all the new hirings they're planning. They changed a lot of the training rules and only guys who are at a certain level can complete their sign-offs.

There's still guys trying to get stuff from the fall signed off, as well. I'm more popular than a Kardashian at the Source Awards

you're not rubbing anything in, but if it makes you sleep better at night, whatever you need man.

the guy had 20 goals last year, and still didn't have a quality season. it's not only about the points.

- hammarby31

I like Vinny. Expecting anything other then point production is like expecting a fart not to smell. He's never going to be anything other then what he is, especially at this point in his career.

I think the proper tense is past pluperfect, or "high stucked".

Ouch, sucks to hear that.

I wish I was getting shafted at the hospital where I work. We have 5-6 new buildings opening up over the next 2-3 years and I am the lead engineer on the Voice Infrastructure for everything so it's a constant check list in my head of "wth am I forgetting"

thank god for hockeybuzz flyers forum to keep me amused on long conf calls.

Conference calls are the enemy of productivity.

I call in on my personal phone if it's going on too long and play music, like somebody forgot to mute their phone. Today was Christmas in Hollis

Still need to prove they can win a close game. Games are easier to win when you average 5.3 goals per game
- PhillySportsGuy

If they win 5.3 - 4.7, is that a close game?

that's right, and that's why people crap on him because he's one dimensional at this stage, and eats up a lot of cap space. the criticism is legitimate. you shouldn't mistake that for people not wanting him to succeed. believe me, we all want him to be valuable and to contribute.

Well...things have been good over the last stretch and my 5 year old and I are going to make the 3.25 hour drive from Lexington, KY to Nashville on Saturday. Whether the Flyers win or lose it will be great to be at the game with my little dude...but forgive me for being cautiously optimistic. Nashville should be a good test. I wonder if Chief goes with Emery or the other guy.

it's disappointing they decide to win after we're pretty low chance of making the playoffs rather just get a good player than just miss the playoffs

The criticism isn't legitimate, that's what's mind blowing. Vinny didn't give himself his current contract, the Flyers did. Paul Holmgren did. He was what he was when we signed him, so what's changed? He's always been one dimensional. He's always going to be one dimensional. It's one thing to expect effort every night from him but it's another to forget he's human, unlikely to change his habits and style of play. What he's given since returning to the line up is what we should expect from him. Nothing more, nothing less. Take it or leave it.

I still don't agree with scratching him seven games, while scratching other players less games in a row or not at all. He's a vet and a pro. The length was unnecessary.
