The criticism isn't legitimate, that's what's mind blowing. Vinny didn't give himself his current contract, the Flyers did. Paul Holmgren did. He was what he was when we signed him, so what's changed? He's always been one dimensional. He's always going to be one dimensional. It's one thing to expect effort every night from him but it's another to forget he's human, unlikely to change his habits and style of play. What he's given since returning to the line up is what we should expect from him. Nothing more, nothing less. Take it or leave it.

I still don't agree with scratching him seven games, while scratching other players less games in a row or not at all. He's a vet and a pro. The length was unnecessary.

Lets hope you bring good luck. I have not seen them win a game in person since I moved away from the DC area in 2003. Now I have only been to three Flyer games, all in Columbus, since then, but still, I am ready for them to post a W when I make a 3+ hour drive to see them

Or one could say that the ends justify the means. He has been producing since he has been back. Maybe that is a credit to Chief having his finger on the pulse of the team. Vinny damn sure knows well that if he reverts, he is liable to end up sitting in the press box.

I'd like to see Umberger take a seat for a few games. Can't believe they got that stiff in return for Hartnell. Let Rinaldo have his spot. Rinaldo goes full bore all the time. He also lays the body and other teams need to know when he is on the ice.

That's fine but do you expect Mark Streit to be a solid 2 way defenseman? It's pretty clear a guy of his pay grade has a lot of shortcomings in his own end but nobody notices because he puts up points regularly and the other pairs are more then capable of taking on defensive responsiblities.

We have a variety of players that aren't capable of playing to a certain style that we would like them to. This team is far from perfect. This team has holes virtually at every depth position within the line up. We have players who cannot deliver and play a certain style we wish they could. We just have to make the best of what they have and within these past three games if not this entire month, the team has. We're 6-2-3 in our last 11 games for this month.
